Banjo, plastic comments! What the...? Just because they are at odds with your own expert opionion? Gardner is rubbish. I paid over 30 quid a pop to watch him many times. Each time I watched him I kept thinking to myself, 'geez, how is this bloke a Premier League player?' He could barely pass a ball ffs. Yes, 10 goals is good. He has a good shot on him (at times), but still doesn't mask the fact that his distribution is awful. I restate: Gardner's level is Championship. That is my 'plastic' opinion. I can picture you, sitting in a pub, you overhear someone giving their opionion that doesn't gel with your own so you give them some long-winded spiel about how wrong they are, pausing occaisionally to give them the 'thumbs up'.

I have not stated that all Villa fans are plastic

But there are a number that are kinda Plastic and i say kinda plastic because they would Support Man Utd if they was propper Plastic.

So no i am not calling fans Plastic because they dont agree with me.

I just noted that from my experience a lot of people who have a arogant, self centred attitude from Birmingham tend to support Villa over Blues, because it goes with their egos.

Blues compared are not even in their league as a club and so they wont support their egos. (this is part why i am a Bluenose).

I never see many Bluenoses being cocky to other fans, only a few recently and thats because of the sucsess Blues have had, you see Sucsess gets to the head of some fans and they like to brag about it and have a pop and laugh at fans whos clubs are not having any.

As far as Gardner goes, well maybe he never did well for you, maybe he never got many chances. Maybe there are good reasons for that.

But at Blues his passing was not that bad, at times it was not good but then the same was with a lot of players inc Ferguson who was a good passer last season and i put it down to the tactics.

Maybe you just see them as Villa rejects and when they join Blues you just dont want to see them do well, maybe like i dont want to see McLeish do well (but we have better reasons to).

We will have to see how Gardner does for Sunderland, maybe his time at Blues was a fluke.

Give it 2 seasons we can ask Sunderland fans what they think as they would be totally unbiased.

Re-Coker was not that good for Villa but he was decent for West Ham at the time Reo-Coker looked every bit a £7-8M player, but at Villa he never looked worth half that.

Gardner for us looked a player worth double the £3M we paid, yet for Villa he never stood out to be worth more than £3M

We can judge Gardner after 1-2 seasons at Sunderland and Reo-Coker after 1-2 seasons for his next club.

Dont forget that Charlie Adam was not regarded as a very good player prior to Blackpool he was decent but no one back when he was at Rangers or loaned out prior to Blackpool saw he had potential to be worth over £8M

Haha, the total loser that lives in Barca is here again! What a tube. Gardner couldn't even get in our first 11, that's why he was at yours and now Sunderland, because he doesn't want to be in your first 11, not in the Chumpionship, you sad loser.

Like how Young and Downing want to play for clubs who can win trophies and get into Europe each season.

Gardner as i said did well for us, what ever happened at Villa is behind him, for us he played more regular and did well.

I said and i will say it again that his spell at Sunderland will prove if he is either decent or a donkey as you claim.

I never said he's a donkey, I said he couldn't get in our first 11. That's why he left. Personally, I think his goals are good this season but his football is only average. We shall see. As for Young and Downing, they are good, though not as brilliant as they believe. If they want out, off they go. Give us 20m and I'll happily give Pool Downing. As for playing in Europe, do you really think Pool will be there? I don't think they'll make top four. That leaves one, maybe two Europa spots, with about 4-6 teams fighting for those spots. Not easy is it Downing, not so easy. This is about money, as much as ambition IMO. Young's case is different; manure really does offer Euro footy and trophies. And he's given us good service, so he goes with a blessing from most of the faithful.

It seems to me that the villa missed a trick letting Gardener go, was it Oneil in charge who refused to play him. 11 goals in a premiership season in a team that went down playing negative football is a great feat and has put himself on the map. Anybody who denies this is deluding themselves, believe me,he would have walked into the villa team next season and would have been one of their better players, easily.

I never exactly meany you specifically called him a Donkey but a number of Villa fans do think he is a bit of one.

Gardner has a eye for goal and good shot, his passing is average thats correct, he has a good work rate, tackles are not bad but also has a few silly moments such as the hand bags and dive that got him a Red Card against Wolves.

Which had we not been down to 10 men maybe we could have got the Win and that would have kept us up.

As i said at Sunderland we shall see how good he really can be, or how average. I think £5-6M is a fair price but the player was worth more to us than that due to his effect.

One must remember that MON didn't use him, as he wasn't a top six club player, so yes, he would walk into the Villa team now that it has been ruined by GH and probably Eck to come. His brother is better though, a real prospect, and this time, claret and blue to the core! lol
