I never rated him at bolton as a neutral. But he has come on leaps and bounds and i can only say positives about him so far, he has been our best player this season and he only joined in jan

I'm getting fed up of the Sordell bashing. England U21 striker and double figure scorer in the Championship while still in his teens. He is a very good player from someone who has actually watched him. I would expect the reason Coyle hasn't given him much game time is that he is still very young and will need time to adapt to the physical side of the Prem. Might want to watch the kid play before judging him Bricks.

RVT did nowt till he got to Barnsley a full year after his release from BWFC. He did nowt in Greece and nowt at Hibs.

Somehow, Keith Hill, who is a Bolton lad, managed to get him firing and he's carried on doing the business for BSA.

I wouldn't be too harsh on OC for letting hime go Bricks. It's not like your chum GM got any form out of him is it?

At the time we were crying out for a bit of flair, still he's a bit of a tippy tappy footballer, it would have been a fools errand, like putting a tiara on a shirehorse.

Vaz te was rubbish bar one game for Bolton. Even the best manager would have moved him on but good lick to him at whu I am genuinely pleased for the kid. As I remember never moaned just was not good enough at that time.

As for sordell I agree with bricks. I am not sold on the Cardiff story. If Cardiff are seriously after him and no one else what would we have missed out on? A championship player playing in championship. Big deal. He never ripped up any trees at that level like zaha. That's why you are not seeing him now as he is a risk. Not someone who can naturally play at Premier League level. I suppose £3m is not much and a team like us has to take risks. Problem is this has not been the season to gamble but then maybe it is.

You either stick with the players that have not really worked and people say this unknown quantity could surprise people get maybe five goals and keep us up.

Or you play him and he shows to be clearly out of his depth and people say what a waste of money.

2 choices for coyle but then he gets paid 500000 a year to make them and I expect him to get it right.

I think Sordell was brought in with the expectation that another of our strikers would be leaving in the last transfer window.

Let's just hope we play the kid to his strengths one day, be it in the Prem or Championship. In recent seasons, we've seen quite a few of our strikers utilized in ways that doesn't get the best out of their abilities.

Delighted for Bambi...even if it is making me feel a bit sick.

If we do meet the Hammers next season, may the Curse of the Frozen Lake return and make him fall flat on his 'arris.

Two memories that sum up the lad.

Bolton v Espanol (Pre-season)
Vaz Te is outstanding. Scores two goals including a superb diving header.

Later that season (insert one of many games)
Vaz Te is put clean through, one on one...draws back the shooting leg...sniper fires...down he goes.

Bricks finance article remains the most ridiculous I'll informed article ever.

Just two quick points, I like Sordell, ive watched him a fair few times, good young player. The Cardiff story is a true one, we identified him for summer, then we're forced to buy when Cardiff tried to gazump us.

I also don't think Zaha is ripping up trees, whenever I've watched him I've thought he was a headless chicken, similar to SWP at City. Sordell has done more than Zaha in their short careers so I don't understand that comment.

Sordell

75 games, 25 goals, 7 assists

Zaha

88 games, 8 goals, 7 assists

Thats the last two seasons combined.
