Where do we go from here...

......is it down to the lake I fear etc etc.
I suspect that we will be playing Championship football next season, but will it end there or will we do a "Portsmouth or Leeds"?
Will playing in the Championship be more fun than the Premiership?
WOW, you don't need to reply and Vinjay (I know you will be reading this) your answer is noted by the defection to City.

Nah, we can still get into Europe, here's what Kean said about the owners a few days ago albeit before the loss to Swansea

"I still think in years to come they would like to see a successful team move up the league and there’s no reason why we can’t be attempting that.

They do want European football but it wasn’t this year.

It was making sure we were in a very stable position financially, which we are now, making sure we survive this season because of the way we’ve had to refinance the club.

If you’re only trying to survive each year, they’re not that type of people. They want to be successful and for the club to move forward. We all want that and I’m convinced we can do that."

It's like the old Spitting Image sketch, he should have said "to move for war, we all want that and I'm convinced we can do that"

Bayonets at the ready.....

Off topic i know but the Sky commentator talking about Ashley youngs dive, sorry penalty,
"I suppose you can have a situation were it is a dive and a penalty" No bias there then?

Playing Swansea away counts as an away trip in Europe!

The logic from Kean is idiotic. Ok effectively at £23m in debt we weren't running exactly on an even keel but our assets more than covered this debt. So now our saleable assets are much reduced and as far as I'm aware the debt has still not been paid off. Furthermore a drop to the Championship means reduced revenues.

How any of that can be constructed as steps forward is complete and utter madness. Honestly, that's the worst thing he's said since 'disabled son' or 'not guilty'.

Pie: Sorry for the broken record (if anyone remembers what they were!) but if you bet against staying up, say 2 years ago when we're 8th, with P Jones coming along and the team looking very solid with manager who had staying up well figured out, it make complete sense.

Now say you hire an unproven bloke and say "here's what we are going to do, this is your role, take us down and there's a chunk in it for you...."

Then you sugar coat it for the fans and press and footy industry with phrases like "Top 6", "Europe" and "Ronaldinho (sp?)"

You couldn't make this up I know, but trust is often stranger than fiction

Drinking already Duggy,

+++++++++++++
That idea is looking good at the moment we was 6 points clear looking nearly safe and after that Kean done everything wrong it does look deliberate
