The BEN is reporting that Wylde is likely to be given clearance within the next few days making him eligible for Swansea come the weekend. Normally I don't advocate new signings going strait on the bench but seeing as he's been training with us for 6 weeks now I would assume he's well integrated. I don't expect him to start, but his blistering pace coming off the bench will be a good thing to throw on late on.
Although this is far from concrete, someone on twitter who I believe talks to that agent who represents half our players from time to time is saying that Petrov and SKD have signed new deals. As I said I can't know if this is true but if it does turn out to be, I think it's good news.
Aside from the fact he's Bolton through and through, SKD has looked rejuvenated since his long absence. Although I think the season was the end for him being a starter for all our games, he has shown he is quite a good weapon to come off the bench. As well as that it gives us an experienced player who can play every cup game and marshal the youngsters if other pro's are rested. He never injured so he's always an option and I would expect him to be on his coaching badges very soon. In short happy.
Petrov I was surprised at. Coyle has constantly gone on about lowering the squad age and wage bill and Petrov seemed like a prime candidate to go. I also assumed that even if we did offer him a deal, he would be off to the MLS or China instead. I obviously misjudged him. I am happy he has been given a new deal though. I still think he inconsistent nature over the last 2 years has been largely to the fact Robbo was playing behind him for the majority. Since Ricketts has gone behind him his off days are actually very few and far between. He knocks in several dangerous crosses in per game, or we've lacked is a striker on the end recently.
I would assume both got reduced terms and would hope both have a clause to slash their pay if we fall down to the Championship. These two must be among if not the top two earners at the club.

from BN site:
Meanwhile, reports suggest West Brom and West Ham are monitoring Jussi Jaaskelainen’s contract situation at Wanderers.
The experienced Finn is among 10 first-team players who are awaiting offers from the club, and has recently fallen behind Adam Bogdan in the pecking order.
It is understood Wanderers want to keep hold of the 37-year-old keeper, who is closing in on Eddie Hopkinson's all-time club appearance record, but will not be resuming talks on a new deal until their Premier League status is decided.

Petrov is inconsistant but remains one of the few players we have who actually run at a defense.....you rarely see him pass it backwards. I think he holds up the ball well on his runs down the line.
I would offer all our out of contract players a one year contract at reduced salary of course.
Our squad is small enough already and we cannot presume an influx of new talent.
