However i thought i would share, that i really agree with schumi on the tyres front..
i see formula one as the pinnacle of Motorsport, i.e, the fastest way around a track, for me there is to much restriction on teams. i agree there should be some restrictions in respect to safety etc, however the change to turbo engines im not a fan off for next season. Drivers should be able to race, and some cant now, because they have to just think about tyres.
Have to agree with Schumi

Take a look at any marathon race, and you will see runners hanging back, pacing themselves and preserving their energy, which they then use to push hard for the finish.

Well that comparison is completely wrong.
A Formula 1 cars tyres would be in comparison to a runners trainers, I'm sure the runners would struggle if their trainers just fell apart and died.
Marathon runners pacing themselves etc would be compared for a Formula 1 cars fuel, which they do preserve and use more if they can right to the wire etc.

Btw people are aware that durable tyres doesn't equal fast tyres?

Yes hasza, we know that. Durable tyres however ensure you do not lose 2-3 seconds a lap when they are going off or prevent you from racing

Durable tyres so only need changing if they blow or weather conditions, along with smaller fuel tanks so they have to refill which would keep the pit stop entertainment.
F1 are always looking at reducing costs so that would be a major one as 1 tyre being used knocks out multiple tyre usages and smaller fuel tanks means less fuel is used and the cars are not so heavy on the tyres.

Think I remember someone saying they were saving money by not carting those fueling rigs around the world. I may be mistaken.
They you again with the gross exaggeration UtdDareDevil. Who have we seen lose 2-3 seconds a lap? Raikkonen when he tried going half a race on one set of tyres.

Hazsa when the tyres fall off the cliff, that's what happens. We saw that last season and saw that with Raikonnen losing 7 places in one lap.
Come on, we all want exciting races, the tyres are creating artificial excitement. Surely you can appreciate that

Don't let them fall off the cliff then
Btw did you watch the Moto GP this weekend?

Pirelli should make durable tyres then
Yes I did, thought Jorge would catch Casey but he held him off.

Tyres were a hot topic in the dying laps...

Yes they were, in the dying laps not from lap 1
