Is his article in this evenings edition of the Evening Standard the most (and there have been a few) bitter of the lot this week.
For those who haven't read it - and it's not available as yet on-line - the headline reads 'John Terry to Lift the Champions League Trophy in Munich is Abhorent'.
This perennial Chelsea hater - who I've had the missopportunity to have several debates about his morbid dislike for our club over the years - is appopleptic about the prospect of JT, despite being banned from the final itself, being allowed by UEFA to go up and collect the trophy.
Now I'm pretty sure that even the most avid JT apologists are pretty cheesed off with his decision to knee his opponent in the buttocks on Tuesday night. He certainly made an almost impossible job a great deal more difficult.
However, this is a man who has sweated blood for our club. Has been a lifelong servant for us, has always put his body on the line for the cause, is currently playing with broken ribs and is called Mr Chelsea for good reason.
He's revered amongst his team members and supporters alike.
No one outside the Club will understand - but this man has performed at a level far above his peers for almost a decade now.
It's such a shame that the likes of Lawton will have such unnecessary influence over peoples perceptions of our Captain.
And I for one hope his morbid fears are realised and JT shines that big old trophy in his eyes.
I don't expect everyone to like JT - but to deny him the chance to lift the ECL trophy, for a club he's served with 110% every time he's taken the pitch, is disengenuous to say the least.
Feel free to harrangue Matt Lawson

It could stil end up that way mate. We're basically in three cup finals. CL , Fa Cup and Top 4 Cup. Its not out of the question to lose all three But I dont think that wil be the case.
We're here because the old guard have got us here. So I dont think they'll putting anything less than 100% into each game. They're the ones who rescued our season once again. I think they're managing themselves. Dont think RDM has much to do with it. These guys know how to win matches. Terry knows how to organise his defence. He knows what works hence why we've been defensively solid. We let Drogba do what he wants on the other end of the pitch. Its just them managing themselves again like in 2009/2008. I think its the last season thought of this happening. Dont see it happening ever again. Dont see us having that powerful characters on and off the pitch anytime soon.

I reckon Sanchez did a job on JT - exactly like Vinnie Jones on Gazza - an attempt to get him riled up enough for JT to retaliate. I can't think of any other action that might have outraged JT so much that he lost control for a tragic instant. (see yesterday's thread).
Not condoning what JT did - just desperate to make sense of it.

Ive been desperate to make sense of it too. Rewatched the match twice. Did not see anything much happening with alexis and JT. It just doesnt add up. Didnt pick up a yellow card all campaign long, knew we'd need to defend, semi final, chance to get into the final. we were only 1 goal down.. Why?

Mr C..........
It is difficult to be sure of RDM's input, but unlike Grant we are talking about a manager with a good previous track record and an outstanding ex international football player, I feel he deserves more of the benefit of the doubt over his contribution that "Deputy Dog" did.

Mr C
I really think JT wanted to nobble him, slow him down or make him scared. A very old fashioned tactic of the traditional CB.
Also very sneaky and unsporting.

Yeh maybe the way I put it did a disservice to RDM. I just think its like 2009. Hiddink basically put his trust into the players. He let them play. Thats what I think RDM is doing.

I dont think he knew Sanchez would go down like he'd been shot

Well if he didn't, he is pretty naive to think that about any Barca player in the Camp Nou

Mourinhos Omelette. I don't buy the nobble thing. JT would be far more likely and experienced enough to nobble someone in a general melee when the ball is around as a distraction. If that was a serious nobbling attempt it was completely naive. As I said yesterday JT's actions looked hot-blooded rather than cold-blooded.

i am just guessing,I have no idea really, it was just so fekin stupid.
Maybe it is testimony to my sad little life, but I had been looking forward to that game all day, unable to think about much else, and for him to potentially throw the game away so cheaply like that was criminal.
