The only journo's worth their salt are Martin Samuel (Mail), Sam Wallace (independent) and to a lesser extent Paul Hayward (guardian). They report without bias and are some of few that don't have their heads up United and Liverpools rear ends

Ian Ridley (Mirror) is the most anti-Chelsea journo I've seen to the point where even Andy Dunn (The Sun) who is also anti-Chelsea called him up on it

I hate Mat Lawton and to give column inches to such a rant is just typical of him and his newspaper.

However,I don`t think JT should go up to lift the trophy and I hate all this talk of lifting the trophy, it smack os arrogance.

If JT has any feckin decency he would not have let this become another story about him.

He may be fantastic on the pitch and on the training ground and in the changing room, but outside those parameters he is nothing but a selfish

I like Henry Winter. He usually lacks bias and generally looks at things logically rather than jumping on bandwagons.

Brian Reade in the Mirror is some as well

I suppose the same supporters that are supporting a thug like Terry, will be vilyifying Anton Ferdinand this afternoon.

Try to be consistent fellas.

JuanZola = Henry Winter's just a nice guy all around.

I tweeted him once early morning. He was in Ukraine I think for some Euro 2012 event. I asked him, What are you doing up so early and have we got a chance in the CL this year? He replied, never say never but Barcelona are favorites for me

Personally I don't think Terry should be supported over his Barcelona actions. He does not deserve to list the trophy. He let us down big time. He won't get booed but he'd probably deserve it.

Mr Chels, I agree. Whenever I hear him on any radio interview or anything he always comes across as just a top reporter speaking sense with respect for everyone who plays the game, regardless of team affiliation.

Samuel & Holt for me closely followed by Wallace, the rest I have little time for.

Yeh. We shouldnt forget what Terry's done for us over the years but it just riles me what he did. Contrast it to players like Ivanovic Ramires and Meireles who miss the game because they were fighting for our cause. Meireles begged the ref not to card him, he stil did anyway but afterwards, he ran back to his position and carried on knowing full well he wouldnt make the final. Ramires got carded after the Iniesta goal I think? Carried on playing and scored at the end of the pitch knowing full well he wouldnt make the final. Ivanovic got carded after the penalty and stil carried on like a warrior knowing he wouldnt make the final. What Terry did was beyond pathetic considering what the guys ive mentioned went through that night.

Mr C............

For me, whilst upset about the act on the night I am more angry that we end up with another media story about JT and I am fed up with individual players being bigger than the club.

Every Chelsea fan knows what JT has done for the club, he doesn't have to go up the steps to prove that and will he go up and get a loser medla if we don't win.

He is a man on the pitch but a feckin baby off it, take the punishment, learn from it and move on.

Biggish was it JT then who appealed to UEFA about the lifting of the trophy? Or the Club? Both I suspect. He should have just left it. I dont know. Think he wants to make sure he's there for the lifting of Chelsea's first CL trophy. Thats if we win it. A lot of our fans are talking as if its done deal, us winning the CL..

I know, it has jinxed it for sure and I can just see the wumming on here about JT and lifting the trophy if we lose.

On a more positive note i remember posting on here some weeks ago how this was such a depressing season and I can't wait for it to be over and the new one start..........

How things can change

It could stil end up that way mate. We're basically in three cup finals. CL , Fa Cup and Top 4 Cup. Its not out of the question to lose all three But I dont think that wil be the case.

We're here because the old guard have got us here. So I dont think they'll putting anything less than 100% into each game. They're the ones who rescued our season once again. I think they're managing themselves. Dont think RDM has much to do with it. These guys know how to win matches. Terry knows how to organise his defence. He knows what works hence why we've been defensively solid. We let Drogba do what he wants on the other end of the pitch. Its just them managing themselves again like in 2009/2008. I think its the last season thought of this happening. Dont see it happening ever again. Dont see us having that powerful characters on and off the pitch anytime soon.

I reckon Sanchez did a job on JT - exactly like Vinnie Jones on Gazza - an attempt to get him riled up enough for JT to retaliate. I can't think of any other action that might have outraged JT so much that he lost control for a tragic instant. (see yesterday's thread).

Not condoning what JT did - just desperate to make sense of it.

________

Ive been desperate to make sense of it too. Rewatched the match twice. Did not see anything much happening with alexis and JT. It just doesnt add up. Didnt pick up a yellow card all campaign long, knew we'd need to defend, semi final, chance to get into the final. we were only 1 goal down.. Why?

Mr C..........

It is difficult to be sure of RDM's input, but unlike Grant we are talking about a manager with a good previous track record and an outstanding ex international football player, I feel he deserves more of the benefit of the doubt over his contribution that "Deputy Dog" did.

Mr C

I really think JT wanted to nobble him, slow him down or make him scared. A very old fashioned tactic of the traditional CB.

Also very sneaky and unsporting.

posted on 28/4/12

Yeh maybe the way I put it did a disservice to RDM. I just think its like 2009. Hiddink basically put his trust into the players. He let them play. Thats what I think RDM is doing.

I dont think he knew Sanchez would go down like he'd been shot

posted on 28/4/12

Well if he didn't, he is pretty naive to think that about any Barca player in the Camp Nou

posted on 28/4/12

Mourinhos Omelette. I don't buy the nobble thing. JT would be far more likely and experienced enough to nobble someone in a general melee when the ball is around as a distraction. If that was a serious nobbling attempt it was completely naive. As I said yesterday JT's actions looked hot-blooded rather than cold-blooded.

bloomlike.......

i am just guessing,I have no idea really, it was just so fekin stupid.

Maybe it is testimony to my sad little life, but I had been looking forward to that game all day, unable to think about much else, and for him to potentially throw the game away so cheaply like that was criminal.
