in the premier league. Let us sit upon the carpet and tell sad stories (in the words of Lord Percy).

Giver: Now, look, Steve I don't mean to be pedantic or anything, but the colour of gold... is gold. That's why it's called gold. What YOU have discovered, if it has a name, is some... Green.
Steve Kean: [removes lump of Green from pot] Oh, Mrs Desai, can it be true? That I hold here, in my mortal hand, a nugget of purest Green?
Givet: Yes indeed, Baldy, except that it's not really a nugget but more of a splat.
Kean: Yes, my ladies. A splat today, but tomorrow, who knows, or dares to dream...

Yes, yes, green.
The colour of your managerial expertise.
The colour of the shoots you have destroyed.
The colour of your reward for said deeds.
The colour of our faces, sickened by your weasel words.
MrsD: the chances of our survival have now vanished.
SK: like an old oak table?
MrsD: No Steven, that's varnished.
The relegation is one thing, the manner is another.
Pie, the dares to dream bit at the end is ironic
audere et facere.

Keans words are all ironic, or should that be moronic?

Trotter Fan In Peace.
I suppose I should be pleased that you lost as it improves our chances of survival. But I'm not. I'm genuinely sad for you. I want us both to stay up and Wigan too because the banter between the fans of all our clubs has been (and I'm sure will be again) a right laugh at times plus the fact we're all Lancastrian clubs within a few miles of each other has added to that 'local derby' feel for me. I've been following Bolton for thirty six years now and in all that time I've seen some great matches between our clubs. I was there when Frank Worthington scored against you and sent us up into the old First Divison. I love going to Ewood Park and seeing your guys at our place, either when it was Burnden Park or now The Reebok. I wish I could say that it was still the case.
Sadly your club has been mangled by clueless owners and a manager so inept he makes Gary Megson look good and on your behalf I am disgusted. The moronic way the media has attempted to blame you for Blackburn Rovers troubles has disgusted me even more. I know many of you and I know you to be loyal, passionate and knowledgeable. You'll give your complete support even to a losing team if they wear the blue and white halves with honour and pride. Since the Venky's sacked Big Sam and installed the idiot you have now that pride has been gone and I for one fully understand why you cannot and will not support the shallow, inept, moronic and cowardly owners or their sycophantic useless whinging mouthpiece.
I've never been angry on behalf of another club's fans before but what's been done to you makes me fume. I'm normally a very mild and balanced person but seeing what has happened to our local rivals and hearing idiotic so-called 'experts' berate the fans for daring to express their disapproval of this makes my blood boil.
I know it's not officially over for you guys yet and I'm hoping that you do manage to escape (preferably at the expense of QPR and Villa) but I'm not sanguine about your chances. I'm not completely relaxed by our position either as we are still in the bottom 3 and need at least one more win plus a draw in my opinion to survive BUT at least we have a manager and a playing staff who are giving their all.
I sincerely hope that we meet as premiership clubs next season but if we don't then I'd simply like to add an outsider's voice to this call.
VENKY'S AND KEAN OUT! For the sake of fans and a club that deserve far far better. All the best guys.

Bolton and Wigan will probably stay up, they're coming good at the right time whilst Villa and QPR look dreadful.
Blackburn, however, get to look forward to the East Lancs derby once again. If Kean is in charge at that point, it will put an end to 30 + years of derby dominance. I won't be able to cope with that.

Thank you. Us as fans have been destroyed all season by the media and the majority of rival fans. As shocking as that performance was, at least now some other teams fans can watch a full 90 minutes of what is the Kean masterclass in tactics. Expecting apologies from some posters on here, but chance would be a fine thing.
Truly devestated and disgusted. R.I.P. Premiership, never had any chance with the tactics we displayed today.

OOJW and all:
Well put OOJW, we've said it all before on these boards but now we are getting support from other teams (thanks!!) it is worth saying as you have and worth telling a wider audience.
I think the whole thing stinks of criminal activity; this has been too bad for too long to be caused by incompetence, absentee ownership or even well meaning owners sticking with a clueless manager.
It is more than stubborn pride and ignorance, this smells of collusion and planning. Obviously after today's game the hopelessness has spread to even the better players who are probably spreading their contract and next move options across their mahogany tables as we the customers seethe and curse.
True footy fans are sending support messages because they know it could happen to them next year.
What a sad sad day for football; these fine gentlemen currently "in charge" will eventually move on to some other bottom feeding venture but their damage to our club, town and the paying customers is irreparable I fear.
My Mum used to say "I don't know why you get so upset about 11 men chasing a bag of wind". No Mum, no one knows why, but we do...
Who's for Wigan next year?
