Ferdinand vs Terry (Euros)

I'm not trying to instigate any trouble, but just read something on sky sports that I think is worth debating. It says Roy Hodgson will have to speak to both parties and other members of the team and make a decision on whether or not to take both players to the Euros.

Firstly I just want to say that I'm in no way suggesting that Terry is guilty of racism and I find it disgusting that the case got pushed back til after the Euros.

Now of course family comes before anyone else, and if Anton is alleging that he has been a victim of racist remarks then surely Rio will have to stand by his brother. If this is the case (and that's a very big if before Chelsea fans get emotional) then surely having the 2 players at the heart of defence will be a ship waiting to sink and a disaster.

Anyway, do you think Rio and John will be able to stay professional and keep their personal differences aside for the sake of England or if there is a problem (again I'm just speculating) will it be disruptive to have both players in the dressing room? There is the possibility that the Chelsea/man united players could be divided.

So 2 questions. Firstly do both players get taken to the euros?

If not, then which player goes? Naturally I'm biased and I would say Rio.

This is a very precarious situation, and again I must stress that you're innocent until proven guilty, but this isn't just a case of someone being guilty or innocent, this is a case of potential disharmony in the England camp.

Actually Lampard might be OK if he drops into a deeper midfield role, so scratch that, and sub Ashley Cole into that last paragraph x

Hart
Walker Smalling/Cahill Terry Cole
Carrick Lampard
Walcott Rooney Young
Welbeck

That would be England's best team IMO.

Sideshow don't worry about it. I don't see anything wrong with your team aside from the inclusion of Sturridge. Maybe Smalling over Cahill also but that's debatable.

I like how they're using the league card. How did the Manchester teams do in the cup competitions this season? Euro 2012 is after all a cup competition.

Young is a... good player. He links up very well with Rooney and Welbeck at club level which would be very useful in International level.

Sturridge on the other hand links up well with no one...

Ashely Young is better than Sturridge.

Sturridge never passes, just runs around in circles, then shoots wide.

Young usually plays well for England, creates a bag full of chances.

My team would be:

Hart

Richards
Lescott
Smalling
Cashley

Walcott or Lennon depends who is on form
Carrick
Lampard
Young

Rooney
Welbeck

Sideshow - if you think I'm bias in favour of united, I should probably inform you that I'm a City fan. I'm not bias, I just know quality when I see it, and I don't want the England team built around an average side that got lucky against Barcelona x

Saìn† Mal - City were knocked out in the group stage with the joint highest points ever recorded for a third placed team.
How are Chelsea doing in the league, they must have champions league football secured for next season this late into the season, yes? x
