Sir Alex has confirmed that Hernandez will not be participating in the Olympics so he can rest ahead of next season. Can only be good news for United, he wasn't at his best for a lot of this season so hopefully we'll see an improvement next season!

There is simply too much international football as it is. Olympic football is bonkers. With Euros, world cup, copa america, Gold cup etc there really isn't a need for it.
Although I'm a hypocrite because I'm going watching the Brazil game in the olympics at OT. Never seen them live and always wanted to.

Never even thought about it before SE - but as a matter of interest how much was the ticket?

20 or 40 quid. We went with cheaper ones. Still available I think but you better be quick.

Maybe Hernandez can use the time to work on his first touch and passing, which are both shockingly bad.

Yes I got a couple to take my son, how often will you get the chance to see Brazil live??? And they do take the Olympic very seriously it's almost as big as the World cup

Can't see anyone stopping Brazil. Neymar will light up the Olympics. Dennis, I am 'well jel", as the kids of today say!

Coupled with his concussion, he`s been totally burned out. Hopefully the rest will do him good.
Don`t know why there seems to be so much negativity towards him though.
