Right, you need to win one game of Football

If you had the chance to bring back some of the legends of BWFC for Sunday's game who would you bring and why?

As a younger fan I have just kept it to players I've seen at the Reebok, but for all you fans getting on a bit, feel free to go back as far as needs be

I would go with:

Jussi - No brainer really, but I'd have him in his prime, when he was one of the, if not the best goalkeeper in the Premier League.

N'Gotty - I felt he was rather underrated Bruno at BWFC. Fantastic defender on his day.

Bergsson - Legend. Always remember the Liverpool game at home in 2001. "Empty your pockets Gudni - You've just had Michael Owen in them for 90 minutes". Seemed to get that yard of pace quicker every season which baffled everyone!

Hierro - Another legend but this guy was just an unbelievable talent. Imagine what he was like in his prime for Real Madrid!

Ricki G - Felt I had to put Gardner in there. We all love him don't we? Well we did when he was sprinting down the wing anyway ...

Campo - In the "Campo" role of course. Best ever passer to grace the Reebok turf.

Jay-Jay Okocha - Need I say more?

Nolan (Captain) - Still going strong and scoring goals. Would take him back at the Reebok open arms tomorrow if I had my way.

Djorkaeff - If I could only have one player back, it wouldn't be Ivan or Jay Jay or even Hierro but this fellow. He and Okocha just ran the show but this guy just had that french class and quality.

Anelka - Doesn't need a second invitation to were the goal is.

Sturridge - Pacy, skillful plus kept us up last season with his goals. Oh, how we missed you this season Daniel!

Subs:

Al-Habsi - Will never forget the save against Bayern Munich - Just WOW!)
Cahill - Threat from set pieces and nice lad ...
Reo-Coker - Player of the Year by far this season so deserves to have at least a place on the bench.
Frandsen - Last day v Boro in 2003 ring any bells. Couldn't put him in front of any of the midfield 4 though so sorry Per!
Stelios - Super sub Gi-an-na-ko-pou-lous!
Diouf - Could always bring him on to spice things up ... maybe win us a pen or two ...
Super Kev - Bring him on for the last 20 mins to bully those tired Stoke defenders, although I'd rather suspect the game would be over by then!

Gaffer: Big Sam - No brainer really ...

LET THE BATTLE COMMENCE!

Jussi
N'Gotty Bergsson Cahill Candela
Hierro Campo Okocha
Sturridge Anelka Djorkaeff

Subs
Branagan
Faye
Speed
Holden
Petrov
Davies
M Ricketts

I think most of us remember just HOW good Ricketts was in that 20 months spell before his attitude problem developed beyond thought and then he was rubbish for 9 months...but then scored 6 in 7, and 'Boro gave us £3.5m, nice one!

This was really difficult though, really difficult.

Id be interested to see a worst team..mine would be:

Tommy Wright
Hunt Knight Michalik Ben-Haim
Wilhelmsson McCann Passi Riga
Makakula Jardel

Subs
Sommer
Steinsson
Shittu
Cid
Thompson
Braaten
Blake

HH how does Cid not make it into the all time worst starting XI, he should be captain! At least Michalik scored against Chelsea! And no Ibrahim Ba? McCann will always be forgiven just for his goal against Boro to keep us up

All those players are on a level playing field.. Squad rotation...all as bad as eachother haha. CID will be in next game haha

No one fancied Franny Lee?

Not even Mrs Lee apparently!

And PFA Chairman Graham Taylor (when he was 18 stone thinner) was lightning down the right wing. Unfortunately he couldn't do much with the ball once he reached the touchline and had to stand and wait for help

Gawd struth, HH.

I know he wasn't great for us, but Jardel has/had the best goalscoring record for any player...EVER!

I know he did, and jardel was fantastic, up until the day he joined us.

I cannot tell you my excitement when we signed him.

But he was awful, and I've never known a players expectation and real ability to be so far apart.

He has to be in that team...I was expecting more than a header against Liverpool and a brace against Walsall, both in the league cup! Haha

nuns, couldn't you have found a spot for Robbie Blake in Coyle's team? He is versatile, and can play anywhere in midfield or up front. It's what Owen would do.
