Not wanting to sound daft, but has anyone any ideas why contract talks take sooo long to negotiate?
If we want NM then surely his rep says he wants x per wek, x years, x get out clause, and with us we say yeah or nay!
I know i have over simplified it, but surely if we want him this bad we should try to sort it quicker rather than not?
Do you think NM and KM would want this sorted before the pre season games if possible?
Contract Talks ?

It might be as simple as trying to decide what figure would guarentee he could talk to a Prem club.

i agree Hawk' but should it take this long?
I know i am being impatient, but i'd like to know if hes staying or not sooner rather than later, also do you think it affects the rest of the players and staff or not?

I think we all would like to know what is happening, however most of the players know what the score is already Louis Carey said in his interview that he thought if a prem club made a decent offer we would be waving goodbye to Nicky.
Thankfully so far it is only championship clubs Forest and the Foxes who seem to be making noises/bids for him but like I've said before I am worried that there are a couple of Prem clubs who could be just biding their time hoping we will accept an offer from another championship club so they could offer the same figure as they think that way they will get him cheaper than if they have to make the running themselves.

i'm not a wum but NM agent will already know what Leicester are prepared to pay him, as its the agents job to find that out, The fact we keep coming back with bids makes me think we are very confident he will sign once/if you accept a bid from us.
it's just been on radio Leicester that Sven has been trying to get hold of Owen Hargreaves, so these Thai owners have even more money than i thought.

Money talks and maybe the cash will tempt maynard away, but to another championship club i think is not likely.
Leicester certainly seem to have lots of cash to spend but believe me this is a tough league and your side will need to gel, so dont think it will be a walk in the park as you may come unstuck like many aside before you.

I totally agree with you, I'm happy the backing is there but doesn't mean you win it by spending lots of money.
The sides that have come down will be up there for sure plus at least another 7-8 from last season. So you won't hear me spouting off

Absolutely, I think the majority of City fans are not underestimating the huge task of trying to get promotion. spending all this money will only add to the pressure as they will be greater expectations.....all that said it is still SO exciting being a Leicester City fan...if only I wasnt here in Miami to see it all next season

Well as I have said before good luck this comming season I'm not convinced Sven is the Messiah many of your fans think he is but that could be something to do with our experience of a high profile manager, soon as thins go slightly wrong throws his toys out of the pram, I still rather doubt that NM will leave for another Championship club as what he wants is Premiership football and not being nasty insulting or anything else but at the moment LCFC and BCFC stand exactly the same chance of promotion after all looking at the current league table we are above you LOL.
It's the thought of one of the newly promoted or lower Prem sides that worry me most about keeping NM we have lost so many players we wanted to them already.
Ah well thats football for you if we all got what we wanted the Premiership would have 92 teams and no one would ever lose and how boring would that be?

Thats wrong. The Premiership would have the normal number of teams, as would every other division. With every result being a draw though, the season would be eternal, ending in a universal penalty competition which would of course be won by the teams with the most Germans in. As a result, football would become Germany's number one export and Beckenbauer would be voted in as Chancellor...

BRR I said if we all got what we wanted - which would be our team in the premiership hence all 92 teams would be there.
