JA606 England Squad - Central Defence PT 1

Hi

In case people aren't aware I'm trying to do a JA606 23-man England squad through a poll system on JA606. Goalkeeper, right back and the left back position threads have been created already - see profile.

Up next is central defence, which I have separated into 2 parts as there are many candidates. Sorry if I've missed any out. I've tried to be as balanced as I can with the selections with form and reputation considered, and have avoided bunching too many of the bigger names in 1 part out of the 2.

Certain players are unavailable:

Chris Smalling = Injured
Michael Dawson = Injured
David Wheater = Injured
Steven Taylor = Injured
Jamie Carragher = Retired
Wes Brown = Retired

So please vote for who you think should be included in the central defence for the 23-man England squad out of the following:

1 star) for Rio Ferdinand

2 stars) for Gary Cahill

3 stars) for Phil Jagielka

4 stars) for Ledley King

5 stars) for Liam Ridgewell


The player with the most votes from this part 1 will be included, as will the player with the most votes from part 2. Likewise the players with the least votes from parts 1 and 2 will be eliminated as will a third player (the next player with the least votes from parts 1 and 2 combined). Those that remain (all 5 of them) will be put into a part 3 where the player with the most votes there being the final CD to be included.

I have chosen to have a squad where there are 3 goalkeepers, 2 right backs, 2 left backs, 3 centrebacks, 8 midfielders (2 RW, 2 LW) and 5 strikers, but I will keep in mind the runner up in part 3 to give an alternative 4 centrebacks and 4 strikers squad, also taking off the 5th highest voted striker.

Admins if you could multiboard this please.
