Mancini called it

A lot was said when Mancini refused to accept that we were favourites again to win the title. Each time he said Utd would win it, it was put down to mind games. But almost as if he knew it'd go down to the final seconds on the last day, Mancini got it spot on.

Utd's last two fixtures were easy. Fixtures they got through without trouble. We had two tough games however, and Mancini knew the situation. Refusing to get carried away and pointing these things out, surely helped us to our title yesterday.

God bless Mancini! The way he's conducted himself this season, with Tevez with Balotelli, the pressure, the taunts, the substitutions... make him one of, if not THE best manager we've ever had.

Makar, it always has been, your bitter because your not actually making the money to buy it as you did in the 70's and 80's. Liverpool bought there way to the titles in the 60's with the money the Moores suplied. Had Gillette and Hicks put their hands in their pockets you wouldnt be complaining.
I dont mind the bitterness its the stench of hypocrisy thats a bit much.

Like I said, completely different worlds between the two. The financial gap between City and other clubs is a chasm so wide that hypocrisy doesn't even come close. LFC have never had anywhere near the spending power that you currently have.

Mancini is left with little to do but pick from some of the greatest players in the world all week, whilst the players get to pick up a £200,000 weekly pay to sweeten the deal for those times when they don't get to play.

Nothing but money has won the title for City this season. You would be nowhere near the top without it. Chuck your well versed deflecting defensive comments such as hypocrisy and bitterness all you like, but it won't get you a well-earned PL title, just a bought PL title.

to be fair i'll be the first to say city deserved the league and well done.

however there is a point there.
until your cash injection even the most die hard of city fans would admit that they wouldnt have expected a top 4 finish let alone a title win.

saying that football has changed and its the way of the game, and before people say "you're bitter" you're wrong, ive actually enjoyed this season and im proud about the fact we have pushed you to the end with a team in "decline"

however anyone denying that city havent brought the league is wearing "blue tinted" specs.

so its ok that you payed out millions to win the prem oh no you havnt won it yet have you. Thats the real bug bear. Its not deflecting comments its the truth. You dont think you bought the title in the 60's 70's and 80's your just self delusional. Why do you think that clubs pay the amounts they do (and always have). Souness cost a fortune in his day as did KK.
Yes I smell the stench of hypocricy because I can see you cheering on a team that won you the CL that cost a hell of a lot more than the likes of Bolton, West Ham etc. Bet you wernt feeling sorry for them and saying oh we dont deserve it we've just bought the cup because the likes of those club cant match our spending power.

Stench, very very bitter and whiffy.

AS before Dunc, every team buys the league, look at the spending that United have done in 20 years in the prem. I'm not denying that the cash injection isnt the reason , what I'm saying is that going off the arguament from Makar then the only way to stop the hypocricy is say ALL clubs have the same amount of money. Thats not going to happen until turkeys vote for xmas so the current system of buying the league goes on and will do until there is a copmletely level playing field.

im not denying that we havent spent money, but there are teams down there who have spent more than we have, both in total and net against sales that havent had a sniff of the league.

as for every team having the same to spend thats ridiculous, clubs earn cash, so they have the right to spend it.

At the end of the day city have outspent everyone, however you won the league by 1 minute, so it just goes to show that the gulf doesnt need to be that big.

As its not illegal for clubs to be funded by owners then they also have the right to spend that cash. My problem with our scouse friend is that he doesnt seem to be aware of the old will you sleep with me for £1M how abot 50p. Just because we have the ability to spend more doesnt make him less of a hypocrite because hicks and gillette only coughed up half of what the fans wanted.

You have just ignored the points I have made and persisted with your previous points, making a few assumptions about me along the way. The wealth of City is a completely different class, a sickeningly vast gap between them and other clubs (Chelsea possibly excepted) and the sole responsibility for the success.

All the accusations and blind insults in the world cannot detract from that. It's a shallow victory and a slap in the face for those that love football.

What insults have I thrown at you? Your the one who admits to being bitter, you accept your club in the past have spent large, indeed more than many other clubs yet you fail to see the position that puts you in.
Yes I admit without the money we wouldnt have been able to afford mancini as manager and the players we have brought in. Big deal.
You still dont see the fact that if your club had been in that position you would have backed it all the way. Indeed most Liverpool fans thought they were in that position when the American owners came in and it was watch out United etc. Am sure Dunc can vouch for that.
As I say you didnt win the CL on home grown players and a green manager. How much was Raffa earning a year? How much was Torres?
Its not about degrees of finance its about your perception of it ....thats why I called you a hypocrite, most of us fans are, you just seem to think hypocrisy is based on a sliding scale is all.

Lee, leave them to it, if they aren't sharp enough to realise or honest enough to admit, its just banging your head against a brick wall.
