RVP

Did anyone else die slightly after hearing his interview on MOTD last night?

Ha no way we could afford him. He's overrated IMO anyway. I'd prefer Llorente.

He stay for at least another season

Koscienly says he is staying and his wife, mother and kids want him to stay in London.

Bouchra Van Persie wears the trousers in that family and she's saying stay put!

Llorente costs more than RVP. We were considering him when Adebayour left, when he would have cost considerably less.

Arsene will probably target Ba if RVP leaves. I would prefer a swap for Higuain.

It is also possible that Arsene will force RVP into the last year of his contract. By the time RVP is free to move he will be 30. Strikers go downhill very quickly after 30 so signing him next year maybe easier. However the board will sell if a considerable offer came in for him. There is no doubt RVP will chase the money at this stage of his career. So those who think he won't go to Man City will be disappointed.

I wouldn't to be honest! As some here said, he is almost 30 so it is understandable that he wants more money/trophies, even if it means playing less and warming up the bench.
I am more disappointed by young players (e.g. Hazard) whom haven't fully developed and still wants to join City.

"if he goes he goes. we get a big fee for a 29yr old player with one year left on his contract. As good as van persie is.....and he is world class don't get me wrong, he's had ONE good season since he joined in 2005!!!!"

This.

Although, I would add 'injury prone' before '29yr old'. Love the guy, but if he goes, he goes. Meh.

The likes of Falcao, Llorente etc are major hot property. Anyone wanting them will have to be paying out crazy money, the likes that only 4/5 European clubs would entertain.

Higuain would be superb, but if he leaves Real, as is widely touted, he'll simply move to the highest bidder and being realistic Arsenal simply don't play that game.

i don't think it's a done deal that RVP will leave. However Podolski could, should RVP be sold, play as the main man up top. He's as versatile a striker as I have seen in a while....

If RVP goes, I think we will need more than Podolski.
He is good but he is not a 30+ goals/season.
And since our midfileds are incapable of scoring, we will need another strikers!
