Jurgen Klopp,Antonio Conte,Pep Guardiola...

Massimiliano Allegri etc. All the managers listed are pretty young managers who have a very good record. What is impressive is that they had not managed a big side before and they have gone on to win the Leagues in their respective countries.

This brings me to Roberto Martinez. I have seen in numerous forums some Liverpool fans rubbishing his achievements in the League. I have watched about 10 Wigan games this season and I can bet his critics haven't. Wigan due to their financial situation have some pretty sh&*t strikers and therefore the conversion rate has been very dire. That said the fact that Martinez as managed to keep them in the league say compared to QPR who spent a fortune is nothing short of a miracle.

Of course some will point to Brendan Rodger and Lambert but lets see how they will cope in their second seasons up and running. The managers aforementioned had similar records and managed to win leagues. More important was the fact that they are young and have time to build better teams. So if this rumor of Martinez is true some may be shocked at what he may achieve. Just look at Bill Shankly's record at an unambitious Huddersfield Town.

The point is the young managers are proving more and more to be competent and if Liverpool take a risk with one Martinez would be my ideal choice with his premier league experience while also being a manager who can handle pressure.

yeah but; he wouldnt get time to get it right at Liverpool, at Wigan he is backed and backed irrespective of results because they believe in him.

Liverpool fans (some) are so fickle they wont even give a legend a couple of seasons in charge after getting to 2 cup finals and back into europe.

Martinez? Wouldnt stand a chance i am afraid, we are own worst enemies.

Too true got better, we do shoot ourselves in the foot a lot. When Rafa was sacked it was under severe pressure from the fans, it may have been the chuckle brothers who did the deed, but we gave them the excuse (I know some of you were against it, but the majority weren't). Saying that, I think the media were doing their darndest at whipping people into a frenzy over it (they didn't really like Rafa). We are too impatient, I'm guilty of it just like the rest of us.

Speaking truthfully, I didn't want to see Rafa go and even less to see Roy appointed. If I'm honest i thought Dalglish was a bad idea from the start but I still supported him and tried by best not to criticise, because it's self defeating act and serves no purpose.

And neither do I wish to see Rafa back, in fact, even though I think Dalglish is tactically inept I still want to see him given the chance to prove his doubters wrong and he needs to be given more than 1 season to do that.

If the management decide he's had enough time and they appoint somebody new, then fair enough, I'll argue all the same that they also need to be given time and criticising them before a ball is even kicked is hardly going to help matters. Leave the criticising to the media and rival teams fans support your team instead because at the end of the day it could be worse and almost was!

If we want to go back to where we were a few seasons ago then there is one man who has took us there, only a few seasons ago. We all know who he is. Some didn't like him but how have they been proved wrong now, since he's left?
