He is very cute and would keep the spanish players happy!!!

The only manager out there who is good enough and willing to take over from Kenny, would be Rafa Benitez.

We have gone down the route of getting a manager who can do well with lower league teams, and that was a disaster.

We moan about getting a midtable manager in Roy, and midtable players like Downing and Carroll.

Now we want Martinez and the likes of Dempsey, make your mind up!

Why do we have to have "a new up and coming young manager" why not go for an experienced one who knows what he's doing?

Fergie broke the Celtic/Rangers domination in Scotland when he was a young manager and proved himself top drawer and worthy of a chance at ManU.

Benitez broke the Real/Barca domination in Spain when he was a young manager and proved himself top drawer and worthy of a chance at LFC.

Martinez finishes 16th every season and has proved himself to be average at best.

Rafa would be my favourite after KK but not sure FSG will give Rafa the control he wants.

i agree with the OP. Though what Conte and Juve have done this season is nothing short of a miracle

I think the Rafa articles have been over done with the conclusion being that the baord would be either anit or pro (split) and the fans would be either anti or pro (split)....

Sooo I think it would be a risk too far going along with the 'not sure FSG will give Rafa the control he wants'

along with the 'Has Dalglish been sacked'

yeah but; he wouldnt get time to get it right at Liverpool, at Wigan he is backed and backed irrespective of results because they believe in him.

Liverpool fans (some) are so fickle they wont even give a legend a couple of seasons in charge after getting to 2 cup finals and back into europe.

Martinez? Wouldnt stand a chance i am afraid, we are own worst enemies.

Too true got better, we do shoot ourselves in the foot a lot. When Rafa was sacked it was under severe pressure from the fans, it may have been the chuckle brothers who did the deed, but we gave them the excuse (I know some of you were against it, but the majority weren't). Saying that, I think the media were doing their darndest at whipping people into a frenzy over it (they didn't really like Rafa). We are too impatient, I'm guilty of it just like the rest of us.

Speaking truthfully, I didn't want to see Rafa go and even less to see Roy appointed. If I'm honest i thought Dalglish was a bad idea from the start but I still supported him and tried by best not to criticise, because it's self defeating act and serves no purpose.

And neither do I wish to see Rafa back, in fact, even though I think Dalglish is tactically inept I still want to see him given the chance to prove his doubters wrong and he needs to be given more than 1 season to do that.

If the management decide he's had enough time and they appoint somebody new, then fair enough, I'll argue all the same that they also need to be given time and criticising them before a ball is even kicked is hardly going to help matters. Leave the criticising to the media and rival teams fans support your team instead because at the end of the day it could be worse and almost was!

How did I know coming into an article with the OP's names mentioned it would turn into a RAFA BACK campaign.

If we want to go back to where we were a few seasons ago then there is one man who has took us there, only a few seasons ago. We all know who he is. Some didn't like him but how have they been proved wrong now, since he's left?
