I don't think that will happen, but we already have replacements.

We have 2 new signings already. CYL and Holden. Of Petrov goes, move Eagles to left Wong and CYL at right. We also have Gregg Wylde who is like another signing.

Even Sordell could play there in a 451.

I'm liking this clearout- it's actually giving me a glimmer of hope for OC.
Knight should be turfed out NOW. hasn't been mentioned on here- but he was bang at fault for both goals on Sunday. Fkin gimmer.

I agree that that any departures of Jussi and Gardner should be handled properly. They should at leats be publicly offered some sort of role with the club.

Both players will want to move on and play though, not ready to hang up their boots.


I would have loved nothing more than to see the back of Zat Knight, unfortunately, I think the long term injury to Wheater will lead to Knight being offered a reduced deal. Whether he receives a better one from a different club is a different story, but i think he was definitely off this summer, until half-time against West Brom.

The main problem year on tear is the lack of quality in the squad players. Take out 2 or 3 of the first team, and we get considerably weakened. Getting rid of experienced cover could come back to bite us on the collective bum.

Knight may not be up to Prem standards most of the time, but he's handy as a fall back when injuries strike.

Although of course, the Championship may well prove to be the right level for many of our squad

Anyone think we need some kind of dead ball specialist? I know Petrov made X number of crosses, but most of those did not end up reaching a another Bolton player. We need to have a player that can hit the target from a 20 yard free kick or pick out a player with a cross field ball. Maybe that will be Vela?

We need a deep lying playmaker like Campo and Hierro. Someone with experience and a cool head but also has authority and commands respect. Unfortunately I cant think of many of those sort of players who would be cheap enough and willing to join us.

I reckon the last few days since we were relegated has been more exciting and fulfilling than our season! Haha

Steinsson definitely going aswell. Ricketts near enough signed an extension, Knight been offered what I'm guessing is a crap deal, because he is a stopgap. We've got a lil bit of money to use to buy a new centre back to replace Wheater... PL player apparently. Interesting.
