Saw this list on the internet. What does everyone think (ranked in order of William Hill odds apparently)?

Rafael Benitez
Roberto Martinez
Frank Rijkaard
Paul Lambert
Alan Pardew
Brendan Rodgers
Fabio Capello
Andre Villas-Boas
Carlo Ancelotti
Jose Mourinho
Martin O'Neill
Jurgen Klinsmann
Pep Guardiola

Now my questions:

1.) Do you think Liverpool's new manager will come from one of those names mentioned above? Who do you think we'll end up with?

2.) In an ideal world, who would you pick?

3.) Realistically, who do you want?

Here's my go.

1.) Yes. I honestly think we'll end up with Martinez (ffs). This talk in the press about FSG wanting him, then shortly after Kenny leaves. Seems like perfect timing to get RM. I'll be gutted, and I don't think he'll have the fans backing.

2.) Pep Guardiola. His pulling power for the top players would be immense.

3.) I'd take Rafa, but it depends on what his former players think of him. Would Agger, Carra, Gerrard et al welcome him back? Depends what really went on behind the scenes when he left. I'd also give AVB a punt as well. Give him time and money. Surely anyone can improve on 8th!

They recovered just enough to win the FA cup and get to CL final .....

Steve Bruce is more likely than Pep or Mourinho

I'm not putting him forward as my favourite for the job, just throwing a few numbers in to counter the claim he was rubbish at Chelsea.

Why are people saying Clarke has gone? There's no official confirmation that I've seen.

Fred I heard it yesterday and there's confirmation this morning on the BBC although I haven't seen anything on the OS yet

Clarke hasn't gone. Either that or they didn't accept his resignation because he was high profile at the club ans they'd have released something on the os.
