Wouldn't mind avb though.

Thought Roberto Martinez was Roberto mancini for a second there

Now that would be a supirsing turn of events.

where is Klopp and pep is taking a year off

Id pick Rafa, then Maureen and finally Guardiola; all three command massive respect and all have won the Champions league and titles.

As a side issue, surely pep would know Liverpools youth coaches, they are the same ones that coached Messi etc at Barca.

1) It is the same list that always appears when a reasonable job comes up. Never have any lesser known outside of UK on it. No, I don't.

2) Kenny Dalglish Or Graeme Souness

3) Someone whom does a poor job.

If you filter out the rediculous suggestions in that list, the real list looks a bit more like this:

Rafael Benitez
Roberto Martinez
Paul Lambert
Alan Pardew
Brendan Rodgers
Martin O'Neill

I just hope FSG keep their hands off the academy set up.

Would love rijkaard tbh.

We will get: Martinez or Rodgers

Ideally: Klopp or Guardiola

I want: Rafa, Bielsa or Jorge Jesus. A continental manager.

Rafa and MON have had success. the rest one seasoners so a bit risky.

Pardew wouldn't be considered as he could be a 'liability' PR wise down the road and FSG wouldnt be down for that.

Ham Shankly is spot on.

William Hill have England at 9-1 4th favourites win the Euros. They base their odds on where the money is being placed. Mourinho at 20-1 shows that the odds aren't factored by likelyhood (as there is no chance of Liverpool getting him).

it shouldnt matter what any of the players think about it if rafa was reapointed, they can accept it or get out the club

I too agree with the above - Frank Rijkaard sounds like a decent call

No mention of Pellegrini?

Or Deschamps?

Deschamps was Kennys choice before hicks and gillet got Hodgson.

Don't really care just now, having a beer for Kenny.

The speculation on who the owners have can start tomorrow.

Hear hear.. a drink for Kenny.

Absolutely no to rijkaard

He had special players at Barca

Then he went to Galatasaray and fooked up

We haven't got Champions League football, so we can take Guardiola, Mourinho, Ancelotti, and Capello off the list. Capello already stated he wants to go to a prem club with Champions League football.

Guardiola also said he wants to be away from football for a year.

Clarke's resignation means we'll need a new assistant coach as well. May have happened anyway when a new manager comes but can we read anything into it like they already have a name in the frame who Clarke isn't happy with.

Either way, respect to him for showing solidarity with Kenny.

Klopp would be the one for me. We should go all out for him, a real up and coming manager who is also achieving great things.

Why was Clarke at the red six game with owners and Kenny wasn't. Is Clarke going to be involved somewhere?

Clarke and Carra to manage and coach the team for 1 year then Pep Guardiola to join as he has stated our academy set up is the best outside of Barca. Good project for him. Wishful thinking but you never know.

It's a funny old game
