Typical

For the last 5 or 6 seasons we have lost key players in the summer transfer windows, been written off by all the pundits, supporters of other teams and a lot of our own fans.

This has happened time and time again - everything looks gloomy, our best players have moved on to 'bigger and better' things, the clubs we once considered footballing minnows have been predicted to overrun and outdo us, we've bottled it at the most important stages - yet we have bounced back and for the most part proven everybody wrong when the chips are down.

This is why I fear that - as we already have shown rare signs of improvement in the transfer market by signing Podolski early - if RVP puts pen to paper and we make the potentially ideal signings that every one is calling out for, we will all be in for a shock. We will have made a change for the better, but then, against all odds, fall flat on our face.

Perhaps we are far more suited to being the under dogs. A very pessimistic outlook - but I want to fear the worst - for if the worst happens, then it will be far less of a blow.

Shut up Batmanu.

If he ever wants to win the top 4 trophy again, he'll stay with us.

If he does leave do people think we will sign another quality striker or do you think Podolski will be it?

After the Udninese game RVP told the media that we should buy 20m+ players to compete with our rivals. I'm sure he is desperate for us to spend big and if Wenger can't give any guarantees then he will definitely leave.

We'll sign another striker if he leaves. But that's a big if. He won't leave.

i think the best thing to do is fear for the worst and convince ourselves he will leave and we won't be as disappointed if he does. peace.

This vicious cycle is never going to end until we start winning trophies again. Sadly the gap is just getting wider with every passing season.
