if man-city were to sell several players and get an influx of money towards couple of world class players who could win city the champions trophy who would you wish for.

Hazzard (with Johnson and Tevez being sold, in addition to our deadwood loaned-out players). I don't think we need Van Persie, even if we could get him.
We also need another decent centre half (keeping Savic and selling Kolo) but I have no idea who that could be.

Chielini would be a good buy. The problem is whether his club would be willing to sell. Should have gone for Cahill when Bolton were selling last January however it is to late now.
