After Clough stated today that any spending we do this window will be neutral, i.e we only spend what we bring in, how much does this potentially give us?
Players up for Sale
S Davies - £1m?
Maguire - £400-500k?
Croft - £250k?
Addison - £300k?
Bailey - £500k?
Around £2.5m cant see it being much more.
If the players arrive that Clough has mentioned
Jack Robinson (LB) - Season Loan
Michael Jacobs - (LM,RM,CM) £400K
Leaves us with a potential budget of £2m for the rest of the team.
How would you like to see the rest of this spent?
2 x £1M strikers
1 x £1m striker 1 x £500k Striker, £500k CB/CM
So how much will we have to strengthen?

Kernow, how do Mate
With all due respect, how do we know Addison is not the same player? How many games has he played in a white shirt since his injury, certainly not enough to make those kinds of assumptions. He's been a loanee for god knows how many months, which cant be great for his morale.
If we didnt have such an already threadbare squad I'd suggest all this looks like a fire sale.

If you want to see a fire sale SDS, take a look down the road. The loans that kept them up have all gone. Any half decent player whose contract is up is leaving, and any half decent player who is still on a contract is up for sale. Oh yeah, and they're stuck with Andy Reid.

ay up SDS,
how do i know? he struggled at barnsley (combination of injury and then pecking order) and wasnt a world beater at bommo who were a mid table league 1 side.
he's a much bulkier and slower player nowadays. by all accounts he had a good time d'aan saaf.
i dont want to be seen as dissing him and genuinely want the lad to do well but i want to see my club aim a little bit higher.
i would like to see someone who is better than we have week in week out or alternatively cover from an older player (30+) who may not cope with 90 mins every week but is great in the dressing room, in training or as cover for injuries.

Vidal
That aint a Firesale Mate, thats demolision!! Take your point though, we arent quite that badly off yet.
Kernow
Fair enough Mate, strange that he is being allowed to set himself adrift like that though. Even if a player isnt first name down for the first team, he is still an asset and would be worth alot more if fit and playing half decent! Reading through your "I'd like to see" list, is it me or does it read like fairly unambitous wants, or are they based on being owned by a tedious and unambitious consortium?

i think miles just needs to get on with his career now and play every week at an appropriate level for him. he would get even less satisfaction living in the reserves at the age of 23.
i dont want to see us spend a huge amount but spending £2m on a proven goalmachine is a no-brainer and the feel good factor you get pulls the punters back n'all. your just stuffed if they get broken mid season.

I had very high hopes for that Lad mate. Real shame when someone has all that talent and it doesnt get realised
As for spending £2M?.............................Porridge or Corn flakes?

sad indeed.
unfortunate to get that foot injury when he did. big psychological blow as well.
it was a bad age to get that injury as he lost that litheness to him.
if only indeed......
interesting to see lee holmes has just been released

Good morning everyone. In all honesty Addison was never really that good but in a barren period for our academy (and one decent game against Forest) we all pinned our hopes on him. It’s going to be a beautiful day so enjoy the sunshiiiiiine!
