As for players doing better elsewhere, I think we are no different from other clubs with regards to how players perform once they move on. I do agree with Mr DingDong though, that sometimes it has nothing to do with the club, the manager, the player or his abilities but is down to our expectations as fans.

Unfortunately for Morrison, he arrived at a really bad time for the team, made a few mistakes (as did everyone) and never seemed to get his confidence back.

But I would add that we have made heroes out of players who were not that good but played for us when things were going really well, and villains out of good players during bad times. Whether the players like it or not, we as fans do have expectations and aspirations and it is their job to deliver those to the best of their ability!! And yes, most of us are fickle at best!!!

I hope we keep hold of reynolds now, even if just for cover.

Not a good move imo out of Reynolds & Morrison I'd have pushed Reynolds out. No doubt Morrison will do really well at Charlton, but we'll probably need to keep Reynolds now

If Meggo deems him surplus to requirements then so be it, he sees him day in day out and he obviously doesn't fit into his plans, end of story for me really.

IIf you go by that rule then no-one would ever move clubs. Grant Holt???? He was poor for us, it took the likes of Shrewsbury in the lower leagues to enhance him, the biggest one for me going back a few years was a certain Ian Taylor!! He came in, got about 6 games and was packed off to villa, only to be one of the best players we never had! At least we got Guy Whittingham in return

So he came and went on for an "undisclosed" fee.

Anyone hear what we paid for him or what he went for? Personally, I'd want to see reasonable profit on a 23yr old, regardless of his limited opportunities.

Profit on players is something we've been awful at for the last few years.

Another ex Leicester player i had time for. I was surprised he moved on so quickly but then Chris Powell was a very popular person at Leicester so that might have had something to do with it. I think another season or 2 of experience and player will make Morrison a good CB or RB

Alot of these players came when all the club had a loosing mentality from the players to the tea lady in the board room i'm not suprised they played sh@te. Given a chance they would have come good but MM wants promotion next season for the big sell off so time we don't have harsh but sadly true.

Morrison is a decent prospect and will do well given time.

We paid £400k for Morrison but I cannot tell you what we received yet.

agreed i_monster: we should've given Morrison a chance. How many games did he even play under Megson? We're left with Buxton and Otsemebor at right-back - not much to write home about..

Buxton and Otsemobor are both very good RB's at this level.

Morrison was a CB.
