5 million for rhodes

I must admit I didnt know a huge amount about Stephen Quinn before the play off final but I must admit I think he is the type of player you could build a good footballing side around. He was the best think about their team and created from the middle and thats what we have lacked for some time. Him paired with a Damien Johnson type could be a could pairing. Having Higgs infront to do the running and a new pacy forward would mean we could step up to the Championship level and play the right way. He wouldnt be cheap but I think its a worthy investment as a good midfield can often make up for a lot of other faults (look at Gerrard or Lampard).

You said it MB. Spot on, with you all the way, but isn't Quinn already on the way elsewhere or staying, saw rumours on here I think. IF Quinn is as good as he seems, (any more info/stats other than the p/off ?) would just love it (!) as I agree he could be the heart of the team we need along with a pacey forward to replace Rhodes if we cash in.

jordan is an international striker.. i bet no one has scored as many goals for any u21 side in the same number of games as he has..
someone will offer the very, very silly money we should now be asking/demanding for him..
Given the 7 million for the burnley lad then if goals is what you pay most for then thats where the bidding should start...

Rodriguez is nowhere near the finished article, and unlike Rhodes I think he will struggle and again unlike Rhodes I don't see him going to the very top, Graham, Lambert & Holt are all very good players but I can never see them playing for a top 5 club...... I can Rhodes...... This year I have seen a lot of Andy Cole in him (coincidence that he worked with him a bit?) Rhodes will score goals season in season out given the opportunities, for me he is worth 10 million!!!!!!!! get on Clark for the Norwich job as soon as Lambert goes

I thought about Clark at Naarwich, however I believe they want Lennon from Celtic, cos lets face it my 86 year old nan could manage in that Mickey Mouse League, Lennon would be great at Norwich.

Not only is Rhodes a born predator, he's scored tons in junior football too, but he has done the groundwork with loans at Oxford, Brentford and Rochdale.

His other major attributes are that he doesn't get injured and he went all last season without a single booking...

Barnsley must be thinking the £5,000 they sold him to Ipswich for back in 2005 was a pretty sound judgement...ha ha

Question is will anyone pay that much for someone who scores lots of goals at 3rd division level(roughly the same as u21 internationals as well) but does not appear on any "assist" lists or does very much besides(at this moment in time)...???

i believe they sold him for £5000 to Ipswich cos his dad moved there??
