According to the Mercury (Local Leicester Paper) Foxes are going to make another attempt to sign Nicky Maynard for £5 Million but the paper also says that Nicky Maynard has told his manager he wants to stay at Bristol City.
If the paper is correct everything now depends on the new contract, if it is signed NM stays unless a Premiership club comes knocking with a bundle of cash, if it is not going to be signed £5,000,000 less whatever we have to pay Crewe might tempt the board, however £5 mil is chicken feed to what promotion to the Premiership would bring - so we are back to Butter today(take the money) or Jam tomorrow (hope Nicky can score the goals to get us promoted)
Over to the rest of our fans to discuss.
Foxes prepared to make another bid

He'll be gone before the first game of the season, Prem sides are just sat waiting to see what our board will eventually wobble on and then equal Leicesters offer, they are unwitting pawns in all of this.
I happen to think that there are some untruths being bandied about here, but as long as we get to spend some of the money on players I dont suppose it will be all bad.

Dont think you're right Banksy.
However, I wonder what would happen if, as I suspect, Nickers starts scoring goals wholesale with the quite awesome array of attacking talent he has around him.
Like, if he got 10 goals in his first 8 games, what price Fulham or Villa offering 8 million, and what chance do you think there is we could keep him then.
A hi level move to the Prem and NM could be knocking on the door to his first England cap very easily. That would be enough to sway him.
Good job we have Stead, Pitman, Clarky and Taylor just in case.
Oh, and Adomah, Bolasie, Woolford, JCR, etc etc.
So the future is bright whatever
