The problem with us is that we are very quick in overating our players and at the same time we are very quick in putting them down. I have some very good examples from today matches. Many of us have been calling Szczesny world class since he became our first keeper, now i know the boy is good and i have a huge potensia but calling him worldclass by some gunners is so wrong. Now he had a little dip in form and suddenly many people are calling for his head.
The same goes for Arshavin, everybody knows he can be worldclass on his day but at the sametime we all know that the PL is not easy and he needs to improve his defensive work if he is to succeed in the PL. yet many of us want him back because he had a good game today, the same people ll be on his back after some bad performances. Dont get me wrong i love Arshavin and i will love to see him return to Arsenal and delivered like his first season, but sadly age is not on his side.
My point in this article is that we should let our players improve and become worldclass before we start putting that tage on them. And we should support them in their bad periods too.
The problem with we Arsenal fans!!!

I have been arguing with non Arsenal fans for ages over Kos and Chez.
They tend to believe the media as they tend to not watch any Arsenal game to see for themselves

I agree. Rosicky and Ramsey also very underrated, vermaelen overrated. Gervinho will probably be a very good player for us, but apparently he's useless. Chamberlain has potential to be as good as hazard but he's not there yet...and it goes for our team as a whole - we either seem to be capable of winning the league or not good enough to compete for anything ever.

Its only natural to hype up your own players, but some times its a case of blind loyalty.
I am not sure if any of you do rate Gervinho at all but i simply just cannot
see him ever turning into anything like
decent for you. Wenger has bought a dud there in my opinion.

Nobody rates Gervinho, one of Wenger's worst buys.

You can see why it happens though. For years we've been buying young talent, young players will always blow hot and cold in terms of form. The Arsenal fans will know what these players are capable of, but fans of other teams will only want to focus on their weak points.
What we have to do as fans is stick by our players, regardless of form.

I do not hype up my team players......I know if they are bad...
Ramsey been terrible this season (which was a pity) but I do like Gervinho. I admit after the African cup he was bad, but I saw potential in the 1st half of the season to suggest he could be great next season.
We have to remember its his 1st year in English football and not many player adjust quickly to it.
But I also think we expect high expectations of our players and if they do not meet that expectations they are slammed. i.e. Walcott. If you compare him to many wingers in the Premiership he has done great this season with goals and assists but many gooner still slate him......
Same with Song. I think he is a great talent in the DM role but due to going forward alot does make mistakes. But again afew Gooners seem to think he is over hyped.
I am looking forward to Gervinho next season. I reckon he will be our star player....... no serious

He did score a great goal in the semi final though.
I think he's capable. People forget it's very hard to be a winger for Arsenal FC. There's usually only one player in the box, and our tactics don't include overloading the opposition box. I really hope we at least contemplate 4-4-2 next season.

People forget that Pires looked rubbish in his debut season. The step to the premier league is not easy.
