Gary Lineker quote "Spurs getting rid of Harry Redknapp is, even by their standards, unbelievable idiocy."

Reporter Steven Howard quote "This will go down as one of biggest managerial blunders of all time."

How Harry hit the heights:-

Ardiles 15th
Francis 7th, 8th. 10th
Gross 14th
Graham 11th, 10th
Hoddle 12th, 9th. 10th
Pleat 14th
Jol 9th. 5th, 5th
Ramos 11th
Harry 8th, 4th, 5th, 4th

I can see this going pearshaped. Levy has illusions of grandeur. There are several teams better than us because of money or money men. We will not do any better until we get our new ground. He should settle for that at the moment. I doubt we will attract a top manager (I hope I am wrong). After over 40 years of support I have thoroughly enjoyed the last few seasons. My son went 3 times this season (he does not even support Spurs) just to watch attractive football. I do not want to go back to mid table days - I have had enough of that thank you.

Lineker is useless.

He is the most two faced smarmy big eared lemon that has graced our TV.

Take it with a pinch of salt, it's just a cover for when arry does his next show beside him

One has to be a complete idiot to deny that Harry is easily the best Spurs manager in the PL era. Yes his head got easily turned and his tax trial testimony made him a laughing stock, but he got the job done on the field of play and his track record speaks for itself.

========================

there's a very strong argument that Martin Jol is our best manager in the PL era.

Harry at least introduced a bit of defensive solidity

won't deny you played some cracking stuff under Jol but he's as bad as Villas-Boas when it comes to organising a defence!

It was on Twitter by that idiot Piers Morgan.
Lineker replied "for once you are right"

premier league wise yes.

no trophies though.. ...

i am not debating it one way or an other.. i am just saying.

some people define success by league finishes, others define it by silverware... i define it by a mixture of the two...

fact is no spurs manager i my lifetime has made us competitive in the league, and managed to win trophies... so hopefully the next one can .

Depends who you get in and even then there's a bit of luck

AVB could be a Wenger '97 master-stroke

Or an AVB '11 blunder
