Leven to Oxford Utd - surprised?

I'm a bit surprised. No disrespect to Oxford - I just thought he would move up a league, or at least stay in L1 ...

Any thoughts?

Er, didn't Ironic specially create the "Just for Bath" article for the inevitable circular deja-vu drone fest that looks like spawning yet another clone, Bill?

Suggest anyone who's remotely interested froths away ad-nauseum about who's got a bigger one over there, before Ironic deletes the off-topic posts on his thread about Leven surprisingly signing for a L2 club...

Anyway, back on topic.

So it was all about getting promoted then, and nothing to do with no-one else being prepared to sign an injured overweight midfielder who hasn't had the best of seasons, with his replacement already having been signed back in March...

“I had the choice of staying in League One, but I’ve never had a promotion in my career. I think Oxford have got what it takes – you look at the set-up and the players. "

Bill, first comment... "How he can say they are a big club with big ambitions when he has left notably a bigger club with equally high ambitions." Right there in black and white. And it's not the only one.You are the one that needs to learn how to read Bill, before challenging me over something I was totally justified in highlighting.

So are Oxford a League 1 club punching below their weight couldn't-wait-to-get-rid-of-Plough-quick-enough?

Bath, fair point, don't know how I missed that one.
Cowshed, as this is about Leven moving to Oxford, surely the motivation behind the move is germane to the thread, thus the discussion via-a-vie the size of the club is within the bounds of the discussion (as confirmed by Ironic in a previous post). If Leven was so poor in his last season, why was he offered a new contract by MK Dons, when others were let go?

It is also worth pointing out that only 3 players made more appearences for MK Dons last season, not bad for an "overweight midfielder who hasn't had the best of seasons" - what must the rest have been like

Well I suppose after a plough you need a bath

I don't see why he didnt come to MK, after all, it was more than 70 miles to travel now anyways, shoulda just got on with it (Oh I can't wait for that reply!)

I dunno - I turn my back for less than a day and look at the state of this page now - all a bit messy and still a little off-topic - when I do like to run a tight article (errr, so to speak), as you know.
