Very strange signing! I can only think he is getting more money than at the Dons. How he can say they are a big club with big ambitions when he has left notably a bigger club with equally high ambitions. Each to their own but i see it as a mistake for his career. I heard he was looking to move to a club closer to his home roots and was linked to a Sheffield team.. Hardly closer!!!!!

Poor choice by Leven. But he was not a TOP midfielder for us he did not set the world on fire, time to let someone else have a go. We need someone who can score as well as run midfield bring back Andrews.

So it was just about the money then? I guess our new contract offer was lower than before, and lower than Oxfords...

Thought he'd be more likely to go up a division rather than down to L2 tbh.

However last season was far from his best for us, and a penalty taker is only as good as his last penalty...

Best of luck to him.

Just deleted BathWomble because it was the usual pointlessness.

In some ways I'm not surprised as I don't think he is athletic or quick enough for the Championship but did he accept bad advice from his agent who seemed to be linking him with Championship clubs?

I see it as Winkie calling his bluff, but I will say he has been a good servant of the club and I wish him the best.

I think his injury might have put off the bigger clubs, but I wish him the best at Oxford

Leven to Oxford Utd - surprised?

- Just a bit but lets be fair, who are we to say he's made the wrong decision?
Maybe he's settled down south's south! And this was the closest club for him, Oxford are actually similar to us ambition wise..
As a footballer on a free agent it is up to him to make a choice, maybe he had a Championship option and almost certainly had a League One option..
..BUT, maybe he wants to stay closer to his new settled home, and choosing an ambitious League Two club, possibly wants to do what we done a few years back that he missed out on (Promotion and a decent League One spell and get a good warm feeling amongst the fans)...
I wouldnt say it's a bad decison, if anything it's a pretty decent decison as he's gonna be first team and get (Hopefully) as much love from the fans as we gave him.

I, for one will be happy that we'll be able to give Peter a big send off (if you like) when we travel to Oxford on the 23rd...I'm sure our fans will give him a song or two, then maybe a bit of banter if we beat them (You should have stayed at the MK) because we never really got to say thanks for his services.

Even more ironic.

For the record, I deleted Bath again for notionally 'cut and pasting' from any number of previous articles (and on 606 when he was Plough) to which s/he has contributed, and so avoiding pointless argument when there are better things to talk about.

I will delete again if needed - as author of this article not wanting to get off subject. Suggest others do the same.

When there is something witty or constructive in what is said, no problem. When it predictable self righteous sniping, I woudl rather not read it, given the choice (which I had).

Have a nice day.

I will admit I was a bit shocked by this. Who ever said bad agent talk was right! HE was linked with Milwall and other championship clubs but it makes no sence. I do wish him all the best though, in my opinion he was quality, not as good as Andrews but we have 3 quality CM's now. COYD!

By all accounts Williams is something special.

Ironic, if you are just going to delete Bath's comments, because its him, why not just use the filter then he can't post on your board (and you don't see his other posts.either).

Getting back to Leven, it does seem a strange decision, perhaps Karl wasn't prepared to give him a guarenteed 1st team place, because I would find it hard to believe that Oxford would be willing to pay him more than MK Dons

It's even more ironic that some people evidently believe they are infallible...

Williams did indeed look very comfortable on the ball on Saturday, at least in my humble opinion...

Maybe Leven was ready to move on and thought he could go up a league or so, and then in the event didn't manage to get anywhere else... so Oxford is they way it ended up. Good luck to him.

As for BathWomble, filters and things - I am not going to delete him just because its him. I want to read everyone’s opinions here - no problem - but I think it should be clearly on subject; or at least witty and intelligent enough to take us all in new and interesting directions. It was neither, that's all.

Must say im shocked bt Levens lack of ambition.I was sure that he was destined for a championship side or at worst leagueone. As he is now 27,even if Oxford get two promotions he will not be in the championship til he is 29.What a waste of a really fine player. Also great getting rid of that Bath fool
