A lot of rumours doing the rounds on Twitter saying we have tabled a £15 million bid for Adam Johnson. From what I've seen and read that seems to be around the price City would be letting him go for, which in my opinion is a bargain when you consider the inflated prices nowadays within the English transfer market.
Obviously we can't really believe anything until it is official, but I suppose it adds a bit of excitement on a Tuesday afternoon.

Firstly the club would be mad to say they had a large transfer budget as clubs will just ask for more. What is said in press conferences means nothing.
I have also heard that Johnson is not on mega wages. I hope this is true as it would add another dimension to the team and would be the flair and pace we have been craving for on the right.

I'd heard (not sure how accurately) that Liverpool came close to a deal for Castaignos in January. Not sure if it was loan or buy. Would be superb if we went in for him again and got him.

Gotta say, if he wasn't English he wouldn't be worth 5 mil... He has no work ethic, very little end product and the only half decent thing he has is a bitta pace and the occasional piece of inconsistent trickery... Very overrated player and I hope this is false

Depends if the lad wants to play which I think he will do at Liverpool. Playing must be better than sitting on the bench and I think he would take a pay cut too if he was guaranteed football.

we shouldn't be bidding that high for him yet! you should start low and hope to bring the asking price down. just basic negotiation
