Hibs are prepared to take a £250,000 “hit" to oppose a newco Rangers playing in the SPL, the Evening News can reveal today.
The Easter Road club plunged almost £1 million into the red in the last financial year and are expected to report large losses again when their latest set of accounts is posted in a few months’ time.
But even so, the club’s directors have decided the sporting integrity of the SPL is of paramount importance and are ready to suffer, like others, the “collateral financial damage" anticipated should, as expected, top-flight clubs vote against the transfer of the Rangers share in the SPL to a newco.
Shows just how much people like Rod Petrie are willing to put the good of Scottish football ahead of a few thousand shekels.

Im not saying Celtic havent abused their power a bit in the Scottish game. Of course we have if you have power you use it. The difference is though that we havent run our business in such a shocking way that now leaves the rest of the SPL up poo creek. But also when Im talking about people like Petrie and the rest coming out now about integrity when they have sat back for years sooking on the money nipple letting the OF dominance to continue so they can keep their second home in Kent. Our whole game reeks of hypocisy. Celtic arent whiter than white but they would have to be a deep shade of Sh!tty brown to be on par with Rangers.

Sporting integrity means little when its the clubs existence thats at stake

Have you thought about the implications your own clubs sporting integrity has had on all these other clubs?
have you thought about what level rangers might have been if they didnt use this cash they never had?
You may have denied other clubs a euro place for instance , i certainly believe you have cost celtic tens of millions potentially in each and every league win you had throughout the " cheating " years
what did you stop other clubs achieving?

At what point did I say Rangers had any dignity like??
I merely retorted to the garb being spouted by Celticdave about Celtuic being the only club left in this country with any dignity...what an absolute load of $hite that is!!
I wont get into the argument about cheating not being cheating until its actually proved and titles and things are stripped.
What I do know is that as part of the old firm, Rangers denied the rest of the other clubs in this country a lot of things, via illegal means or not......but Rangers are not the old firm alone
Tornado....what did we stop other clubs achieving??
I dont know, its impossible to answer.
What level would Celtic be at if they hadnt brought in some of the players they did to try and keep up with big spending Rangers?? Again, impossible to answer.
There's no point in going over things to which there is no possible way of knowing what the outcome would have been.
Lets stick to the facts, and the facts are, Rangers are in $hit street and some other clubs may be in $hit street without them.
Sporting integrity doesnt mean much in these circumstances...having a club to support in the first place is paramount

St3vie careful when using the integrity statement mate maybe your not old enough to remember the Kelly and whyte dynasty at Celtic Park and the "official" crowds of 26000 when the old ground was bursting at the seams!!!
A lot of urban myth here IMHO - a) rose tinted specs looking back - Parkhead was seldom bursting at the seams except european and OF games & b) kids in for nothing which was a good few thousands...jeez ,nobody under 14 paid - all ''lifted over''!!

7returns there were many many times i attended matches at Celtic Park where there was clearly around 35000 to 40000 inside the gound and the "official" crowd was listed as 26000 that seemed to be a fave number!! Yes the ground was seldom burstin g at the seams but we did have crowds of 35000 to 40000 ofetn enough for biger league matches and cup games
