I am over the moon. I am so happy today last time I was this happy when India won the cricket world cup. This is the greatest day for tennis. Congrats to Mr Rosol and commiseration to Mr Nadal (I spelt it right).
Djoko vs Stepanek and Fed vs Benettau are foregone conclusion and knowing that Nadal has been dumped it is going to ease pressure off those 2 greats.
Almagro v Gasquet and Polish guy vs Mayer are few other matches.
Querrey vs Raonic evenly poised. My vote is for Raonic.
Youzny v tipsy, is anyone intersted in that match.
It seems tenez has gone back to v2 as he has been awol here all day. Also missing is rafa fan brigade of - mch, tennisfan, ronaldinho, amrit et al.
The season is probably over for them.
Things looking ominous for all time great- THE MIGHTY FEDERER.And what a supporter he has here on ja606!

I think one is either graceful or isn't, you can't be graceful on and off, same with telling the truth.
I wish he didn't carry on like he did so I could enjoy another player bring something lovely and different to the "tennis table".
Other players quietly don't like him, and am sure will be encouraged by Rosol's performance last night to stand up to Nadal.
I mean, Rosol even felt the need to apologise for beating Nadal in his post-match interview, what's all that about?
SO much is said between the lines of that interview.

Although a poster said this:
"Also clock the length of the rally and based upon that allow a time gap. After a 20+ stroke rally with lots of running a 25 second gap to gather yourself before you serve is perfectly legitimate"

Exactly....and it's under the most pressure that integrity is real tested....in tennis during the match....not the big smiles and autograph that cost nothing after the match is over.

Where did you get that from? and i take it to mean you believe other players love Djokovic?

Well said Nitb
BTW: i missed all the action today, but i've seen some highlights. Fed playing 5 set matches in the first week...not good. Malisse might stretch it to 5 too.
Things are looking good for Djoko: Fed's back in RG mode and Murray has so much work to do yet

13809, Nadals av the between serves was 26 seconds, Rosol's was 19 (mainly due to having to wait for nadal to get ready!).
That's more than 25% over the allowable on average over a number of hours, that has to be addressed.
However, completely understand when you've had a 20 stroke rally needing a few seconds more than 20, but Nadal in particular stretches that allowance.

Jonty:
Fair, when you take into account the long rallies though, i think 26 seconds average isnt too bad.. but i agree Nadal sometimes go over the board...

Rallies weren't that long, Rosol's big hitting put paid to that.
Anyhow time for bed have an 08:00 match tomorrow, night all!

Still unconvinced but I will not complain for the remainder of Wimbledon. You came oh so close to jinxing him out of the tournament with your "will he be #1 if he beats Nole in the SF?" question. You had better stick to his injury problems for now.
