Robin van Persie has announced he will not be extending his contract at Arsenal, with a statement on his official website reading: "I’ve thought long and hard about it, but I have decided not to extend my contract. You guys, the fans, have of course the right to disagree with my view and decision and I will always respect your opinions."

You're replacements are already in place, Giroud and Podolski.........Giroud i will admit looks a great prospect but i still can't see him being as good as RVP.....Podolski is awful and lazy, just watch when the season starts

He's got a great record for a season and a half or so in France.. a better analogy would be us saying Sigurdsson is a VDV replacement. Maybe in a year or two, or maybe not at all.. Chamakh
