Robin

Am I the only one who is sick of clubs top stars coming out and saying they want to leave due to a clubs apparent lack of ambition( which in itself is a dig at their respective team mates), be it Rooney, RVP, Nasri etc. tell you what, pledge your future to the club that took a chance in a raw talent, maybe encourage other top players to come and join and maybe your visions of granduer could come true with the club that pay your wages and fans that show you blinded loyalty every week, I know loyalty went from our game years ago but the clubs that players play for are hardly minnows

Chronic - We all follow the Tottenham! (U3423)

How is this fool not banned from the Arsenal board?

On a more relevant note, OP, I agree with this article completely.

These Arsenal fans genuinely expected RVP to stay at Arsenal for the rest of his career, winning jack sheet and just accepting it all because he apparently owes it to the club. Hmmmm

The lack of ambition excuse is totally political. It is aimed to try and minimise the ire you get from your current clubs fans for either leaving or pretending to want to leave in order to get offered a lot more money.

If the club doesnt pay the extra wages or you're sold because you wont accept any salary, then some fans blame the club not you, if the club does pay you extra money then you get more cash and credit from some fans for bringing this issue into the open and pushing the club to invest in any new players that arrive.

Use another excuse and all fans accuse you of being greedy and/or disloyal/ungrateful.

i can understand why VP wants to leave. It is easy for Wenger to say ' we are building a great young team to win trophies'. Wenger has his legacy made - won 3 leagues and 4 fa cups. VP has won nothing and will win nothing major if he stays.

Hippo, why is it a bs article,
This is exactly my point about players believing in their own self importance, rather than knuckling down and doing something about it, so are you saying that if you don't win any medals then it's not worth playing, maybe the players of the other 80 or so other clubs in the footbal league who have no chance of winning trophies should just all pack in then.....good point

bullsh:t article.

rvp will never win anything for arsenal, nobody will until wenger realises that the type of football arsenal have been playing in the last 8 years is well, sh:t.

rooney is a special talent, who could play for most teams in the world (maybe not barca). the team he plays for lost ronaldo and tevez and didn't replace them and is heavily in debt. why shouldn't he question what is going on? the last thing a footballer wants to do is look back on his career and regret not winning enough.
--------------------

The last paragraph is silly. Rooney has no rights whatsoever to question the club, manager or his team mates, especially after the support given to him. He is an employee of Man Utd, if he has a problem, he should speak to the manager in private.

That is what adults do.

Not trying to be condescending but do you have a proper job?

a= he wants to win more medals
b= he could win more medals and earn more in the process
c=wouldn't you do the same as a and b? think you would!

If he goes to man city,it would be not only disrespectfull to arsenal but also a kick in the teeth for wenger.

why? he's been there for 8 years? disrespectful to wenger? what about arsenal fans chanting "you don't know what you're doing" to wenger at home to manchester united.....oh dear!
