No doubt this time we'll hear 'don't worry we have Pugh'

and in the case of Clayton we've still got Brown (when he signs of course)!

I thought Sam did quite well when called upon last season, certainly in the games I saw. Better than Pugh, Nunez, White and Livermore.

We hear this every time we sell a player, yet the money never goes back into replacing with an equal or better player unfortunately.

That was my point really. He is replaceable if we got a good fee (not likely based on the fee we got for Gradel and Howson) and if we reinvested (again not likely). But if Bates goes and we do end up selling him, the new owners may reinvest that money.

The rate things are going at, we could have millions to invest but it will be too late for this season as all the deals will have been done, there've been about 25 deals in our division in the last 10 days alone.

Chris Burke was best winger last season and Destroyed us at Elland road.
