Heard it Friday but IMO don't think it will happen

FFS what the hell is going on at leeds if this happens that tells me that the takeover is not going to happen

Fully expect him to go somewhere soon given the lack of ambition being shown at ER thus far. McCormack probably close behind him.

Sell the quality and bring in the journeymen. Excellent business strategy Mr Bates.

Not.

Wouldnt miss him too much, he lacks the extra yard, doent score enough and has no plan b when doubled up on. Gradel was a bigger loss.

Mike

So you think we would find it easy to replace him

posted on 9/7/12

I actually agree with Mike, Gradel bigger loss.

I wouldnt argue with that chorley.

but to say wouldnt miss him too much, am not having that

Of course not, however if investment comes in then we can better. He has very good dead ball skills and can beat a man, however his poor speed leaves him unable to get out of double team situation.

In the prem you have good left backs who will eat him 4 breakfast....maybe he will prove me wrong.

Oh and Chorley...did we just agree on something??

There's not many players, when doubled up on, can do much, that why gradel was such a loss because other teams could double up on him because they didnt have to worry about the other wing.

And he scored 13 goals from the wing last season.

It would cost more to get better than him

Would you say Snoddy was the best winger in the league?

posted on 9/7/12

I wouldnt swap him for any other in this league

Who would we get that is better than Snodgrass and more importantly, willing to come to Leeds whilst we are still in the Championship? If we can't persuade the likes of Howson, Snodgrass, McCormack, Johnson, Kilkenny and others to stay I'm struggling to see any talent wanting to come here by choice.

Sorry but anyone who thinks we could get better than snodgrass is living in a bubble.

Even if this takeover is like we hope and some very, very rich Arab has decided he wants to own us, name one player who from the wing is going to offer us 13 goals.

Like LIW said, we need a Gradel type player to go with Snodgrass. He offers us everything we need on the right, he just needs to be balanced on the left with someone like Gradel

Varney?

Pugh?

Isn't Eddie Gray still gainfully employed by Leeds United?

I cant beleive some of the comments on here. Snodgrass not that good?

Are you for real?! Snoddy has been our best player for a number of seasons.

When a player leaves our club for some on here its like they have never mattered! For me losing Snoddy and Ross will be a huge blow

posted on 9/7/12

Snoddy and Ross are our best two players I think. We ought to build the team around them, not let them go.

posted on 9/7/12

I'm sorry. but the only reason we didn't find ourselves in a relegation dogfight last season was thanks to Snodgrass on the wing, he was at the centre of everything we did right last year.

Sure McCormack scored some goals, but do you think he would have scored half as many without Snodgrass' service?

Without Snoddy we will have literally NO creativity or attacking invention in midfield and a relagation battle will be on the cards...

The takeover could take weeks if it even happens at all! So I can't see a genuine replacement coming in before August 18th.

"Snoddy has been our best player for a number of years"

Are you high?

Promotion season BECKFORD
1st season back in Champ - GRADEL
Last season - SNODDY

I have always said Snoddy is not the god folk say he is or else he would have gone to a top half premiership team. Technically is very adept however when the going gets tough he "has one of those games"

But hey, thats just MY opinion isnt it fellas.

You got the mugs saying, howson was s h i t, get shut we can easily replace him.

Erm no you cant

posted on 9/7/12

In terms of guile, creativity and decision making Snodgrass has been by far our best player.

I agree he lacks the pace that many top flight wingers have which is the only reason a top 6 club hasn't come in for him because in all other areas he's easily good enough.

Beckford and Gradel very quick and explosive, but decision making poor.

Some people might think Snodgrass looked average last year, but actually it was more of case of the rest of our dreadfully mediocre team making him look bad... without him we could easily have been relegated! Fact.

No just go to games

CBB, can you provide statistics to back up your assertion i.e assists etc. Im only asking because you stated what you said was fact.
