Parker isn't captain material anyway. Remember last season where bale and vdv were arguing and Parker just wondered past them wearing the armband and didn't do a thing

Brad Friedel should be captain if he is playing, he is well resepected by all, and is vastly experienced. Plenty of goalkeepers in the euros were captains, so it is not that unusual at the top level.

Sandro is miiiiiiiiiiiles better than Parker.

Kinda shocked how many people writing off Parker influence do you forget how many shots on goal this lad blocks you need someone like him in the team.

Sandro has more potential hopefully AVB can fit them both in and develop sandros attacking game more.

I dont like the thought of a goalkepper as captain, only reason it seems to work now days is that you dont see many captains that lead their team on the pithc, who shouts organisers the team , bolocks players when not doing their job etc

The role of Captain seems to of changed for the worse in my eyes

this is the second stats article showing Sandro is a more effective player but you're right - we need that example on the pitch. I hope Scotty can make a few games at the start of the season to set the tone.

Same with Sigs/VDV - great talent but we've got to remember how young they are, and respect the experience of our older players.

Its great to have Parker and Sandro in the team and both will get plenty of game time

nothing wrong with hell boy as skipper....shld always be a keeper or cb imo...

I too would prefer an outfield player, but for sheer experience and all the players respect him I think, Brad seems the obvious choice. And also he is media savvy as well, and hardly likely to drop any gaffes when being interviewed, which is a big plus in the modern era.
