Was Amla fasting during this test match?
If so, we have to give him huge credit for playing an innings like that.

Been spiritual helps him to stay calm and modest in my opinion. In his post match interview, he was very modest and calm , giving a lot of credit to Kallis for his triple hundred and constantly mentioning that he was fortunate to do so.

"respect to anyone who fasts, particularly at this time of year "
Respect to someone for not eating? You have got to be kidding.

So it would be harder for him to be calm and modest if he wasn't spiritual?

Don't know too much about fasting and not eating and all that bolloc'ks but was really impressed with the way he batted. One of the the great innings'? given all the wickets that were falling around him
Anyway, off to get something to eat

You mean the 20 English/SA wickets that fell either side of his innings?

I think CSA confirmed Tahir and Amla weren't fasting during matches.
