He is a very religious guy so he might have fasted as I did not see him take a drink but having said that Islam does allow you to not fast when you are involved in these types of events or something to do with the amount of travelling but he does need to after Eid make them back to get a full compliment.
Anyway he should try painting a fence for 6 hours while fasting. That's a lot harder than facing Swann, Anderson and Broad

paint ? that would be tough.
respect to anyone who fasts, particularly at this time of year
JPB
Wasn't supposed to be painting but bough a cheap fence paint sprayer from Asda only for it to not work so could not waste the paint and got the old brush out. Had the cricket on skygo though which helped.
no he wasnt fasting. the commentary box did ask him that. neither was tahir.
It is quite stupid to assume anyway can fast, especially when he has continuously played for 2days. He would have been dead by now, or in the hospital for severe dehydration
Watching Amla against England's so-called "world class" bowling attack, was like watching little kids running around trying to sit on the grown-up's table.
Amla was coolness personified - Strauss, Cook, Trott et al, take note!
naah cook was as gd if not better. He has been so consistent in both the formats.
Been spiritual helps him to stay calm and modest in my opinion. In his post match interview, he was very modest and calm , giving a lot of credit to Kallis for his triple hundred and constantly mentioning that he was fortunate to do so.

Respect to someone for not eating? You have got to be kidding.
"Been spiritual helps him to stay calm and modest in my opinion."
So it would be harder for him to be calm and modest if he wasn't spiritual?
Yeah, I knew I would be soliciting not so entertaining debate by writing this.
Don't know too much about fasting and not eating and all that bolloc'ks but was really impressed with the way he batted. One of the the great innings'? given all the wickets that were falling around him
Anyway, off to get something to eat

Maksi, I think that was comment of the year. No bs, I salute you sir!
You mean the 20 English/SA wickets that fell either side of his innings?
Maksi
I think CSA confirmed Tahir and Amla weren't fasting during matches.
