Having seen a similar article over on the Chelsea board, I was just wondering, what are fellow Gooner's favourite victories and most painful defeats against the rest of the PL's 'big six'? Here's mine:
Chelsea-
Favourite win- 3-1 at the Emirates 2010/11-
This one has to take it for me. In the build up to this game, there had been alot of questions asked about Arsenal's pedigree in the big games. We always seemed to lose whenever we faced our title rivals, and every game against Chelsea in particular was the same- we'd dominate possession, show no killer instinct, before they'd annihilate us on the counter and end up winning comfortably by two or three. Up until now. Not only did Arsenal dominate the ball as usual, but we cut through the Chelsea defence like a hot knife through butter, Theo Walcott in particular was excellent in this match. This was the game that, in my eyes, made the rest of the country sit up and acknowledge us as legitimate title challengers, we didn't choke in the big games any more. It's just a shame what happened later on in that season.
Worst defeat- 1-2 at Highbury CL QF 2nd leg 03/04-
Well this was the very definition of a heartbreaker. I was only a kid at the time, but I'd still felt supremely confident going into this match after the 1-1 at Stamford Bridge. Reyes gave us the lead on the night, Lampard equalised in the 2nd half for Chelsea before Bridge won it for them in the dying moments. I maintain that Arsenal were the best team in Europe during this season, and while it was incredible to go unbeaten, I can't help but feel that this should have been the year that we claimed that elusive CL trophy.
Liverpool-
Favourite win- 2-1 at Anfield 11/12-
I'll go with this one due to the drama of the late win and the fact that this was a game we really didn't dsereve to win, Liverpool had outplayed us to be fair, it made a pleasant change given the amount of times that we have dominated games over the years and ended up with nothing. Then there was the added bonus of effectively ending Liverpool's CL hopes whilst gaining more ground on Spurs.
Worst defeat- 2-4 at Anfield CL QF 2nd leg 07/08-
No question here, probably the most angry and strongest sense of injustice I've had about any Arsenal game ever. Arsenal had played some terrific stuff in this match, and Adebayor's goal with just over 5 mins left looked set to send us through to the semis on away goals. Then that Babel dived to win a penalty, Gerrard converted it before Liverpool got us on the counter in added time.
Manchester City-
Favourite win- 1-0 at the Emirates 11/12-
The club's animosity with City is only a relatively recent thing, so there isn't much to choose from here, but this one just edges above the 3-0 at the Etihad in 10/11 because of the presence of Nasri, Balotelli's shtfit, Arsenal fans mocking the 'Poznan' and the strong feeling of optimism (what we had assumed to be) us ending City's title challenge gave many Gooners.
Worst defeat- 2-4 at the Etihad 09/10-
I think we can all remember this match, namely for Adebayor's pitch-long gllop and celebration after scoring the crucial goal for City. Not only did that and obviously the result make me angry, I was also hugely embarrassed at some of the sickening things a minority of Arsenal fans had chanted at Adebayor that day.

Good article 5
Chelsea
Best: 5-3. RVP's celebration at the end, was so good.
Worst: Either the one you mentioned or the CC final
Liverpool
Best: 09/10 2-1 at Anfield. What a turn around. Or 4-2 in 03/04
Worst: One you said
City: Best: 1-0 last season or 3-0 10/11
Worst: 4-2

That Liverpool 4-2 defeat still hurts. I think I shed a tear that night.

From a united point of view, and just between our 2 sides
worst: either the 0-1 at old trafford with overmars scoring or the wiltord 2002 game
best: either fa cup semi 99 with giggsy's wondergoal, that game had absolutely everything, so many emotions, or the 1-3 at the emirates in champs league, men v boys.
