He didn't only won us our first double in his first season in charge, but he's the only of our previous manager that has given several of young stars 1st team cameo appearance(s). But mostly criticised by our fans for not trusting on youth.
The following players atleast got appearance(s) under him which have not happened again since he left:
Borini
Josh
Kakuta
PVA
Bertrand etc.
If he was still with us, Josh would have been our own Wilshere (bar his injury).
Thoughts?

Where do some of you get off exxagerating Carlo's 2nd season
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You think Abramovich is tossing around devil may care 25-30mil pound deals 12 months later for his personal enjoyment? He tried to correct the lack of urgency by bringing in the bull to disrupt the laid back china shop, now he's fixing the problems at sources.
Despite the 2nd place finish (in almost any other season, that 71 points tally would've just about scrapped 4th), certain elements of that season were horrific. The Sunderland game, the CL knockout matches, the 1 win in 10 run, the tactical shambles at home to Liverpool (Torres debut), presenting United with one of the most one-sided title deciders in PL history ...... i dunno where you get off telling me that's an exaggeration.

ultimately it;s about what managers will achieve, not what they have done
aside from the opening 2 games, 10/11 was a total shambles-yes i do think it was actually worse than the 5heite we were playing in AVB's final days. almost as bad as Scolari
home to Sunderland. home and away to Liverpool. away at Arsenal. away at Everton. both CL games against United and that non show at Old Trafford (Alex was the only thing preventing a cricket score). and how useless Carlo was in all this. no tactical inspiration. no plan B
Carlo always seemed too cautious and was never able to provide any real inspiration. even when it really mattered and we were crying out for inspiration he just stuck with the same tactics and personnel-a record of 1 win and 4 defeats in the knockout stages of the CL says it all
