I think when he came on in the 2nd half and when Carrick went to centre back, we kept possession much better than we did in the 1st half.

Rooney's touch, control and his ability to retain possession is quite poor. I realise it's only pre-season but it was the same during last season at times.

As I've said before, I think he'd be better utilised as a main striker because his movement, the way he finds space in the box and his finishing has improved a lot I think.

I thought Nani and Valencia teamed up very well in the 2nd half as well.

Scholes was just superb again. It says a lot when our best player was a 37 year old who looked a step ahead of the majority of the team for large spells of the game.
