Why do our fans over react to everything? If we win 1 game we are world beaters, if we lose 1 thats its we are rubbish. Verts signs, most people probs never seen him play but hes going to be best cb in the league, 3 weeks later hes c r a p and we have wasted our money, its embrassing guys just calm down and see what happens when the real stuff begins, never judge a team on pre season, i remember under ramos we were unbeaten in pre season and beat lazio i think 5-1 at home, we then went on to have our worst ever start to a season so it all means f u ck all! sorry if im ranting but some of our fans do my head in,

i dont care who we were playing .. without any strikers we will not have a good season. Ade scored 17 and 10 assists, if he does not sign who replaces those goals

Before AVB signed we were already getting Sigg and Vertonghen so he has not brought in 1 player of his choice which is amazing for a new manager of a top club

Reactionary knee-jerkers galore mate - they don't understand that pre-season should never be used solely as a gauge, mainly just as a fitness exercise.
Our 2008 games we smashed all and sundry, scores tons of goals culminating in a 5-0 romp v Roma when Bentley looked the real deal. I'm not sure what happened in the first 8 league games though...
2009 I'm we had a pretty low-key pre-season, the highlight being a couple of narrow wins v West Ham and Hull in the Far East, and we went on and had a fantastic season

2010 we got demolished by Villareal at home too and went on to get to the CL QFs and narrowly miss out on the top 4

Dont think anyone is really saying pre season form has a sayig on how we play in the season , just why cant we ever get to the week before the season starts with a full squad ready to go
