Despite the poor timing, this may be the first time in years I have been reasonably happy with an England squad!?!?

Hodgson's absolutely spot on.
We need to be looking at the 2014 World Cup, and we have to start bleeding our youngsters into the senior squad if we stand any chance.
The Olympics will have been valuable in giving some of them genuine tournament experience. Here's hoping they can build on it over the next 2 years.

Whats the point of this match? No matter how well the hopefuls play when a competitive match comes around it will be back to dinosaurs like Terry and Gerrard.
