That isn't true. My criticism is that he was not ready for the PL and that we made a mistake getting rid of Gallas who he could have learned from. A similar criticism that is levelled at a lot of our young players. I know most people thought the same. Everybody could see he had talent.

The nice thing is both Vermaelen and Koscielny are relatively young for centre-backs and side by side they are only going to get stronger. The tall German offers experienced, intelligent and quality backup as well as the ability to play specific tactical roles like marking other lanky players. I'd still like to see a CB bought in case there is another injury crisis and I don't trust Djourou. Get rid of him and bring Mussachio in!

I didn't criticise him. I was happy about the signing of squillaci, but it is clear that if wenger spends 9 million on a player, he is going to be starting a lot. Just thought about that really
