Wouldn't tend to agree with a source which gets Sevilla and Villareal mixed up, but http://news.arseblog.com/2012/08/squillaci-linked-with-olympiacos-move/
Pretty reliable, usually.
If true, then thanks anyway Seb
At least he tried
I never thought I'd see the day. Magnificent news if true.
He was the first player we signed who I wanted us to sign before we were even linked with him. When we were linked I thought it would be a great signing, experienced, French, yet not with a huge reputation, a good Wenger signing. I thought he'd be a partner to Verm. How wrong I was

I was one of the many calling for seb to start ahead of kos
"I was one of the many calling for seb to start ahead of kos"
Were there really many calling for Seb to start ahead of Kos? Oh dear
I could always see that Kos was a lot better. It really showed in a CL game against Partizan I think it was.

Yeah I'm pretty sure at one point the majority of fans on here or bbc606 rated Squillaci over Koscielny.
That's because Kos was a complete unknown who we randomly spent £9m on.
The beauty of hindsight with some people. I've been ridiculed for saying it too but when Kos and Squillaci both joined us, the latter looked for more solid for the first few months of their respective careers. I don't know where it went wrong with Squillaci, it all seemed to go downhill when he knocked Kos out against Fulham.
Ow much did we pay for Squillaci?
Squillaci was about £4m I think.
'Squillaci began his football career playing for hometown club FC Seynois. While training at La Seyne, he was described by his coach Franck Seva as a "lovely, quiet boy".'
It makes me sad.
The number 18 shirt is cursed. Cygan, Silvestre, Squillaci.
"The beauty of hindsight with some people."
I always rated Koscielny and you can't prove me wrong
Seb was decent to start off with I suppose but he really dramatically fell off.
Dog I can prove you wrong with the fact you have a high horse and a holier-than-thou attitude all the time
Andrei
I will remain on my high horse for now
Well tbf, everyone rated Kossy. They were just too impatient to give him time to bed in. It's not exactly an achievement by saying you knew he had the talent all along.
"Well tbf, everyone rated Kossy."
I don't think everyone rated him. There were some who thought he was useless. Even at the start of last season I saw many fans suggesting he was awful. Don't want to point fingers though.
lol it was minority who rated him, he used to get absolutely slaughtered.
