otley, you have to take koppite with a pinch of salt, he doesn't actually go to Leeds games and has never seen any of the players being discussed that's why he doesn't make much sense most of the time.

i understand that too jonty but how much money does the man need, hes got millions in the bank, hes just being greedy but he might see sense and agree to take a pay cut or hell be on the sidelines polishing joey bartons boots next season

Jonty...You epitomise the old saying" A little knowledge is a dangerous thing"

If you went to ER every week instead of a half dozen times a season you still wouldn't know what you were talking about and yet you have an opinion on everything LUFC almost every one of them negative!

lazlo, I don't know his finances, it's easy to assume if he's earning 60k he must have 58k spare per week, but as your salary goes up your expenses go up to match it.

Maybe he has big mortgage, a few cars, maybe second home, who knows.

I'd like to think he would like 'give something back' if you like to Leeds and would be disappointed if he didn't have this attitude but finances sometimes get in the way of what we'd like to do.

In a poll published earlier 84% of Leeds fans that voted said they would happily have Alan Smith back.

That's a fair amount of support for our ex player it would appear.

My feeling is, going by that, that Alan Smith would be popular arrival back at ER. I would like to think that the fans that voted are entitled to their opinion.

I wonder what LUFC fans think about such a show of loyalty to our ex player? Are 84% wrong? Are the 16% that voted against him right? Or are they as I assume, simply voting against him because he went to that other club, you know the one, Manchester United.

Be interesting to see whether 84% are wrong!

Jonty..Two definite mistakes and one don't know in 24 hours. You're beginning to sound almost human!

Of the 16% that voted against, how many of them were simply injury worries too?

No idea Catain,

I never took part in it, just reporting what I saw, which is why I put it on here. MY concern would be his injury status, but would add that if he gets through a medical procedure as stringent as we would put him through, would that make us all feel happier?

I am sure the fine folk that voted would have considered every avenue.
