We have just signed Allen to play the Alonso type role, so why would we then sign Alonso as well? He would also be on big money that we would be reluctant to pay for someone of his age.

Sure Alonso isnt that good, when he played for us we were a two man team with Gerrard and Torres

Alonso is still a class act and Suarez would love playing with him. Won't happen though
