you got your man - but we'll be back. and for what it's worth this is what i think. rvp you just destroyed your rep - yes you have more money than any of us on this board will ever dream of earning, but you'll never have a season like the last one and you never thought the only option you'd have was man u when you released that treacherous statement.
you thought it would be real madrid, juventus, ac milan, psg or maybe man city in for you but instead you're at utd.
you could have handled it better - been honest about the desire for one last pay day but you thought you'd have the pick of clubs - bad advice i reckon but we've git £20 + million for a supremely talented, injury prone 29 year old in his last year.
don't let the door hit you in the way out.
congratulations fergie

last comment from me - got work tomorrow - but it's going to be weird seeing rvp in a utd shirt - worse than seeing all those former players in the sky blue of city - guess i'm showing my age but city don't seem like a real team to me but utd used to be our main rivals

one more comment @ gawa - ok means top 4 and maybe a cup

So nothing better than last year? I know you agree with me that rvp will be missed. But that shows taking him out of the squad which includes your new signings means you dont expect anything more this season than last.
Just for those who dont think he will be missed.

No im sating arsenal didnt perform much better without them as the other poster was suggesting.
=======
Read what I wrote again,they may not have won anything but they did perform better than the season before.
Without viera we got to the CL final, without Henry we almost won the league, we performed better than the season before!

But with vieria you won something, the next season you didnt. With henry you challeneged for titles and won things, without him you havent and gone backwards since.

He will be missed, but he'll be forgotten and Arsenal FC will move on. We've suffered much more devastating losses.
